When my Dad met @jolendrum six years ago she didn’t play golf... but was excited to learn the game! My Dad decided to motivate her and said “if you ever get down to a 10 handicap I will marry you” thinking it was unlikely that would happen!! She practiced morning and night and got down to a 9.8 last December!!!! (36 to 9.8 in 5 years 👏🏼she’s now off 7.8) So impressive!!! So he stuck to his word and bought the ring. 💍 They were married yesterday at the golf club where they play in Adelaide, Australia and I was so happy to be there to officially welcome her to our family!!! 😄 #golf #family #whyilovethisgame

How do you find the line?!? Reading greens takes a LOT of practice! When people tell me I am good at it I tell them I have been working on it for 24 years!!! That’s 10,000 hours +!!!! My trick is to imagine water running on the green and to find where it would fall to. I call that the fall line and adjust my line according to the putt breaking to the fall line. I also make adjustments for grain, wind and slope! Once I have picked the line my next focus is speed! I love @darrell_kestner philosophy “respect the pace”. Ideally if the putt misses you want it to finish 1 foot past the hole. When I get to the course before my round I focus on all kinds of different length putts to master the speed of the day. @torysport #torysport #ad
