Although I’m not currently on the field tonight with my teammates I wanted to share with you guys the cleats I planned on wearing for “My Cause, My Cleat Week.” I’ve been working with @shockdoctor this season and I recently teamed up with @dickssportinggoods and there foundation “Sports Matters.” Sports Matters is all about giving kids opportunities to play sports, which means so much to me and where I’m from. Sports changed my life, as a kid growing up I played multiple sports which enabled me to eventually get to the level I’m at today, without sports and a strong support this might not have been the case. Besides football one of my favorite sports growing up was baseball. I actually had the opportunity to play professional baseball out of high school but I ultimately decided to take on football full time which obviously payed off. My father was also a big baseball fan and actually umpired some of my games growing up. Through myself and the “Sports Matters” Foundation we decided to grant Top Prospects Baseball a inner city youth baseball league in Los Angeles a $10,000 grant to help continue to promote youth baseball in my community. I will also be choosing one lucky fan to give away my Sports Matters Cleats, Lip Guard , Gloves and Arm Sleeve. Stay tuned for details!
