One year ago yesterday we (almost) ended up on top of the world. The greatest experience of my life, which gave me confidence in my abilities and made me believe I that I belonged amongst the best in the world.👊🔥🌐 Last year my biggest concern was how to win and (after our final) to not be disappointed by our 2nd place finish… This year, I am dealing with the frustration of not being selected to represent my country at World Championships in Sarasota and not have the chance to build on last year’s success. The best part of this sport is the opportunity to race at the highest level. To have that opportunity denied is heartbreaking and extremely disappointing. This dissapointment has given me lots of motivation for fall racing which will focus on Head of the Charles in October and National Championships in November, with Head of the Trent at the end of September as well. On to the next one ☝

Inspired by the rest of my family, I made the decision to return to my roots and take part a weekend of racing at Eastern Canadian's Noram at home last weekend. Glad to say that after almost five years since my last race, I still have some speed!❄❄❄ Finished Sunday's 20k pursuit in 27th after starting bib 20 based off of Saturdays result. Felt a little inefficient carrying around 100 kg, but it was probably the best weekend of training I've had all winter! 🔨❄⛄❄📷 @naturalfitnesslab #skisnotergs

Well, the last four years have been a steep learning curve in this "new" sport, but and am proud to say that I have been selected to represent my country on the World Stage in the first class event that is the Coxed Pair (coxie not pictured)! Our country has a great legacy of medalling in this event at Worlds and we plan on continuing that legacy!!
