This is how I feel about Mondays. I’m scared of them a little, but still want to look hot and seem like I know what I’m doing while I’m going through them 😂😂😂 My least favorite day of the week is Friday. Why? Because as a “positive” workaholic/ type A personality, I want to still get everything done, I want to get responses to my emails, some resolutions, some “I did it!” moments before the weekend and I feel like the clock is ticking. Saturdays are my favorite, because I have no choice but to let go of what I was planning to get answers on/to get done (though I still do a lot of work during the weekend, just nothing that involves others- haha!) and when Monday comes around I almost don’t feel like getting back into my “killer/go getter” mode and there’s an underlying fear always of what’s to come. I love my bed so much! The princess part of me comes out when it comes to my 6hr/day sleep. I need like 3 comforters on me (ideally someone makes a burrito out of me with them around me) I need a pillow behind my back (to create an illusion of spooning) a pillow between my legs (for obvious reasons - lower back support, you pervs 😉😂) and an orthopedic pillow under my head. The sheets have to be super soft and mattress has to have a pillow top. Eye mask, silicone ear plugs, complete darkness and an air purifier! 6 months out of the year I’m traveling and sleeping on random beds (or floors, hello #azjaexpress )so when I AM home, it’s luxury all the way. I never watch TV or eat in my bed. Bedroom should be for sleep, rest and pleasure:-) I’m starting to even try not to be on the phone in my bed (that’s hard:-) What’s your perfect bedroom/sleep routine? It’s definitely my snorkeling gear in the back seat that made me look like a suspect and required a full search of the car🤣 I love Mexico, but if you are an innocent looking tourist (if they only knew😆) you might find yourself spitting out cash like an ATM, out of fear of being caught with substances you didn’t even know existed. Well, they pulled over a wrong chica! I might have watched too many movies about this, so I’m a little extra paranoid! See that halo from my baby hairs around my head? That’s called abundance. Abundance of little hairsies (that’s a word😆) I created those! Abundance doesn’t just come in the form of money, it can be anything you’d like! Are you stuck in your life? Travel. That’s how I shake things up. Take a bus to a different city. Take a walk in nature in a park that you’ve never been to before. This will open the door to the possibilities you didn’t know existed. That’s because you are firing new connections in your brain, creating new pathways, that make you perceive your world in a different way, this will shock your brain in a good way. It will make you take different paths that you didn’t know existed. Just remember to be fully present and allow yourself to experience the moment without worrying if it’s gonna last, if you can top it, if there’s something better you might be doing at this time. For the premiere of @futrozmisia I got to wear @dawid_wolinski_private super fab creation along with @kazar clutch and black heels and @reserved earrings. My clean yet glam make up was by @patrycjasierzputowska_makeup and my hair (including hair extensions well hidden in the do😂) by my absolutely fav @marek.bryczynski_official I did get a quick “lift” at @klinikamiracki right before the event with #Zaffirolaser (love it!) I love that wig! It was perfect for my character in @futrozmisia People are always so shocked that I talk about wearing wigs, hair extensions or push up bras. Haha! What if we were completely authentic and not embarrassed about our weaknesses, our struggles and made fun of ourselves more. Personally, I find self deprecating sense of humor the sexiest thing ever. I immediately feel connected and can relate to another person, when I see them not treat themselves seriously. I welcome that lightness. I encourage you to share with your family and friends more of the “uglier” side of yourself. Joke about it. I worked with someone once who didn’t have an arm. I remember, immediately feeling bad for him when I saw him for the first time. I remember he said, “nice to meet you Izabella, I’d shake your hand, but I don’t have one and I don’t want to make it awkward for you” we started laughing together so hard. It broke the ice and he made me wanna be around him because he never played the victim card or hid anything (I’d ask him to hold my purse all the time- it was our running joke:-) Try this out. Disclaimer: I haven’t met a guy yet where I thought he was “the one” (maybe it will happen differently for me:-) but I’ve driven myself crazy waiting for a text before🤦‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️ Especially since I’m a strong believer (and my peach palace completely backs this up:-) that a guy needs to pursue a girl, make all the moves and go through an appropriate courtship phase. If I feel like I need to chase a guy, like he’s non commital in asking me out/setting up another date, it’s like Sahara Desert down there. It’s not allowing me to be feminine. I guess I’m attracted to a strong, masculine, leader, someone who’s confident enough to be ok with potentially being turned down, so he goes after what he wants and won’t let it slip away. If from the beginning he’s not “fighting” for you, it’s literally not gonna get better. And don’t think that if you sleep with a guy, your magical lover powers 😆 will keep him locked in. Read an awesome old book (horrible title) “How to get to I do” where you learn about how differently the brains of a male and female work. There were many times that I actually was very interested in a guy, but because he put no effort, he was lazy about pursuing me in the right way, I lost interest. After he finally texted me “wanna hang” or some other “buddy talk” bs, I just texted back “no” .... cause “no” is a complete sentence- ha! Sometimes I get to play very pissed off, unhappy characters. Meet “Aldona” (shot exactly one year ago in freezing Albuquerque :-) she was NOT optimistic. Though the pilot we shot for Amazon didn’t turn into series, I had such an incredible experience working on it. The creator of the show @meharsethi is such a talented dude, we will see so much more of his work! People don’t realize how much work we artists put in to stuff and projects that sometimes nobody even gets to see! You really have to love what you do, to keep going and creating in this business. Working on being gentle with myself. Don’t worry, I’ll never lose my self deprecating edge 😂I realized an emotion and a feeling is a result of something else. It’s a side effect of a deeper thing that’s pre existing. So instead of beating myself up for feeling certain things or having certain thoughts I allow it fully and then dig deeper to figure out what caused them. 95% of our mind and brain is subconscious! That’s crazy. All this stuff happens, that’s been pre programmed in us, so what we experience is just a result of all that. Enjoy emotions. Good or bad. Be the observer, don’t lose yourself in them. I’ve always been an extra sensitive and compassionate person. I just felt things more and was hard on myself. Kids need extra time and space to mourn. As children we can’t grasp yet how you can love someone or something and it can be taken away from us. We can’t understand that mom or dad did something bad and now the family is broken. We can even feel punished for opening our hearts to a dream, when we find out we are not cut out for it. So we close our hearts or we live with a wound that never had a chance to heal. The whole “get over it” “wipe your tears and keep going” can’t be applied to kids and it shouldn’t even be applied to adults. We need to feel things fully. There is a reason why many tribes, many religions implement the process of community mourning together. It’s not to live in the past, it’s to get closure, to allow the cycle of life to be, to feel the support and understanding of others. So you know what, have a funeral for your kid’s hamster, or a crying party for that lost first place.
