Earlier this year I had the honor of joining Operation Smile on a medical mission in Thailand. I’ve been a proud supporter of this volunteer based charity for over 8 years. We had just over 90 patients show up for screening day and about 60 were admitted to surgery. Sixty lives changed forever & I’m so grateful to have been a part of it. Stopped by my buddy @jeffkatzphotography studio to check out his never before seen photographs of Prince. In 1985 Jeff became Prince’s primary, personal photographer and creative collaborator. Their successful and close twelve-year union celebrated the height of Prince’s global fame. The majority of these historic photographs created by Jeff & Prince have been locked in storage for over 3 decades! I told him about the time I took my family to see Prince at The Forum back in 2011. Still one of the greatest performances I have ever seen, there isn’t an instrument that man can’t play. I’ve worked with Jeff numerous times and he’s truly one of my favorite people to collaborate with. Excited for everyone to finally have a chance to own one of these iconic photos ranging from the eras of Under The Cherry Moon, Parade, Sign O’ The Times, Lovesexy, Batman, Graffiti Bridge & more. At first I thought posting this review might be doin too much... but then I thought screw it who cares! This is my first time doing a play and I’m not going to pretend like I wasn’t going to look at any reviews 🤷🏻‍♂️ Feeling so blessed to have been included in this immensely talented group of people. I have come to understand that theatre is a ‘beast’ no matter how large or small the production and this has been one hell of a learning experience. . So thank you Shari Barrett for coming out and supporting us. I’m happy & grateful that someone out there appreciates the work that we’ve been doing for the past couple months. 2 more weekends of shows to go 😁 🎭

It’s opening night and I am in the dressing room that I share with Lola Kelly and Brian Wallace thinking about what an extraordinary journey it has been for all of us to get to this place. It’s been over a month of intense preparation and a rehearsal process that has completely taken over my life in the most amazing way. This play has challenged me beyond anything I ever imagined as a performer and I am grateful for the experience. Theatre is something I’ve always wanted to try, I just didn’t expect my first introduction to be at the level of Dostoyevsky’s ‘Crime and Punishment’. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and try something new. So here we go...
