**READ** I stepped into the fitness industry in 2002 way before IG. These are some of my first published fitness shots, the first by Gucci the others shot by Muscular Development staff photographer at the time Michael S. Someone asked me when I was 17 what do you want to do for a living and I clearly remember saying “I want to be a published Fitness Model.” _ When I was a younger, I did some print work for Wal-Mart and at 19 I was a Budweiser Tejano girl in Corpus Christi, TX. My goal was fitness though I would read the magazines and envision myself sharing workouts and advice. I wanted to be shot by Robert Reiff, Per Bernal, Michael Stycket the top photographers at that time. I was in my early 20’s when a friend said “go for it, you can do it” I said why not 🤷🏽‍♀️ and started emailing them and the magazines my bikini photos explaining my dream to be published and to break into the industry. I did this for a while until finally I got a reply from Michael. He said come to Sacramento Muscular Development is looking for 6 girls to shoot over the next year and I think you fit the look. _ I paid for my flight, agreed to test shoot (no pay) and stayed at his house to shoot over 3 days. I was young and felt like this was my once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue my dreams. I was familiar with the content shot and that it was implied which made sense when your job is in bodybuilding your not trying to hide it your trying to show as much as you can because you work so hard on your results. At one point he handed me a tiny white thong and a can of shaving cream. He said I’ll step out, put on the thong, get inside my kitchen sink and cover your boobs with this shaving cream. Call me in when your done 😳 it ended up being the centerfold shot for Muscular Development. I ended up doing 4 issues 2 centerfolds and one cover. I was happy but I wasn’t getting paid yet and I was ready for the next step. _ Shortly after both my parents passed ... 🗣Lots of people will cheer for when you first start or while your on your fitness journey. Once you reach your goal though those same people may be negative and make you try and feel bad about yourself. Mentally prepare your mind while your on a transformation journey. 🗣 I saw this woman make a comment about the amount of clothing I wear on my page and then another woman commented back to her and said “she does it for likes and follows.” 😳 _ A few things came to mind like I’m not sure if the public realizes that IG is a free platform so likes and follows don’t pay anyone on here. Most influencers do sponsored posts and they get paid for those but I do not do sponsored posts myself. My page hasn’t grown in years because Instagram has it blocked. _ As a health coach I firmly believe in leading by example so I try to show my results to inspire women. At 200lbs, 160lbs, or 130lbs I’ve posted myself the same. When I was pregnant with G at 200lbs I still posted in a bra and panty and bikini’s, nothing different than what I post today at 130lbs. Those photos and videos are still on my Facebook. I just think when your 200lbs it’s not “dirty” but at 133lbs for some reason it’s an issue for some people. _ I also thought 🤔 why can’t more women simply support each other or just keep it moving. Why do they feel the need to be nasty to someone they don’t know. How you view something when you categorize it as bad is based on your perception of the world around you. I follow a lot of beautiful women and get inspired by them especially when they look sexy. I comment often on their pages too. _ You can be sexy and confident at any weight ladies. Don’t let other people’s assumptions or judgements bring you down. Be you, remember when someone judges you they are reflecting their insecurity. We need more women supporting each other on social sites. If you worked as hard as I do daily you would understand why I am confident in my skin and have no problem using it to inspire others. Some of us were raised by addicts and some of you are the addicts. I share my story once a year to reach others. _ I was born to heroin addicts. As a child I grew up in chaos and uncertainty. I was in fear constantly, and sadness was a normal feeling in my home. Both my parents had depression and self medicated. I suffered from neglect by my parents, which led to me into being sexually abused by a family member at 5, this went on for years. I was drugged and raped as a teenager (I never told anyone until recently). I attempted suicide a few times around age 14. I was in a domestic abusive marriage at 15. I had a baby at 15 and I was homeless for a while sleeping in my car with my baby at 17. These were all side effects of being raised with addicts. We’re groomed early on to keep quiet and abuse is so normal we don’t even recognize it’s wrong or abusive, to us this is part of our environment this is our norm. Perspective between right and wrong gets distorted. _ I have this memory of my mom holding me screaming while my dad was hitting her with a closed fist. I was hysterical as my dad pulled me off of her, I was fighting to hold her. I watched helplessly, then finally my dad stopped and my mom scrambled to grab me and ran outside hysterical with blood on her face. My dad slammed the door behind her. This happened often while I was a child. She would leave but always ended up coming back. _ The abuse stopped after a few years when my little brother was born. I learned early on that this is what love was this was my image of a marriage. My dad taught us not to talk about what went on in the house. If we ever spoke of it to friends, family or school he made it clear we would be disowned. As a child the thought of being on the street alone is horrifying so you learn to stay quiet. _ We spent days and nights with no food, no water and no electricity. Sometimes losing them all at once. I clearly remember going to bed hungry, crying to sleep with my stomach cramping I was maybe 6 years old. They would say “eat your sleep you won’t be hungry”. I have vivid memories of me and my baby brother sitting in front of the open fridge eating bbq sauce (continued in comments)

Can you drop your weight without losing your curves? 🤔 _ This is a question I see a lot from women. I’ve lost almost 25 pounds now and kept the curve. I’ve approached weightloss with a high protein diet. I eat 5 times a day spacing meals out every 3 hours. The goal for me is to reduce bodyfat and keep as much muscle as I can in the process. I used to be an NPC bikini competitor so I’ve lifted weights for years. _ The real answer will never be the same for everyone because we all start at different places. For example I’ve always lifted weights and I always focus on legs and glutes. So I have existing muscle there already. The next person may have a big booty and big legs but never lifted and their form may come from bodyfat and not muscle mass so when they approach weightloss it may start coming off from there first. _ My advice would be if your trying to keep a certain shape start lifting in those areas to build muscle. Remember you should not spot train and you can not spot reduce. You can create a plan to put more focus on an area you want to shape though. Follow a high protein diet to support muscle mass while losing body fat. And most importantly ask for help from someone who knows what they are talking about. Once you get to the body you want maintaining it becomes easier. 👋🏽Home workouts or Gym based workouts? Which do you prefer? _ Home workouts can be created easily using any heavy objects in your household like laundry detergent. But weight is not necessary to get a good sweat on! 👋🏽 _ Results ... are you seeing them? I used to have it so backwards when I started. I thought it was all cardio and weights and I never focused on food. There was a crazy time I was lifting heavy and juicing 😂 I felt tired all the time and super moody. I got thin but I couldn't create curves where I wanted them my body was flat. I would change my workouts, switch up duration and time of cardio. When I wasn't getting results or feeling better I would try and find ways to stay motivated like buying new shoes, new workout clothes or switch up my music. Nothing really worked until I hired a coach who helped me with food 🥙. Through competing I learned the time of day, weights or cardio, or duration of workout don't make a difference. 80% of results is based on nutrition and nutrition alone. _ 🙋🏽Here are some quick facts about my I rarely eat fruit, I do not consume milk, and I do not consume beef or chicken. I eat 5 small meals a day spaced out every 3 hours and I can't eat enough raw green veggies. I utilize meal replacements because it takes the guess work out. _ It's hard to find a balance of what to eat, how much to eat and what are the correct foods to get the results you want. To be honest the answer changes based on goals and where your body currently is. It's a process there are no short cuts so plan on falling in love with a lifestyle. You'll save a lot of time and frustration if you MASTER your nutrition first. 💯 Working out and eating healthy should never be something you dislike it should naturally be something your excited about. Motivation comes from results so don't continue if your not getting results rather take a step back and figure out your nutrition. Anyone do yoga? I prefer hot yoga but occasionally I’ll practice at home and record myself to see my form and how to adjust it. _ When I started yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️ I would see these beautiful images and I didn’t think I could do them like ever. I would tell myself that certain people were born with different capabilities. I didn’t think I could get do a handstand or get into certain poses because I’m not flexible. 😭 One day I went to a class and started practicing I sat in the back and I was so nervous. As the class started going I found sometimes things “look” harder than they are. Most of there poses happen when you stop “thinking” take a breathe, close your eyes and just go. 🙌🏽 Mind you not all my poses are perfect everything can use improvements but I’m doing what I thought I couldn’t. Don’t get stuck talking yourself out of things you want. 🙃Sometimes you need to shut off that little voice in your head that talks you out of stuff. 🏃🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️Is cardio boring for you? I used to have a treadmill and I would get so bored running everyday! 🚶🏽‍♀️ _ 🔑Try this for a change of pace side walk using a band, do both sides 1 minute each _ 🔑Walking Lunges 2 minutes this is a hard one I normally go at a higher incline for this and by 2 minutes I’m dying and I have to walk it out. - 🔑 Squat hops, on the hop land softly hop a bit forward so you land with your knees aligned with your ankles. You never want to lunge or squat with your knees going over your toes. Alignment is very important. This move is a bit advanced so if your not ready don’t try it. 2 minutes 🔑 Upright side shuffle no band, go higher with the incline and keep your eyes down for balance. 2 minutes again _ 🔑 Backwards Jog, not shown here but optional. Next questions will be why 😂 I lived here years ago and I have friends that have become family here. As many of you know Las Vegas is much cheaper than LA. I couldn’t justify living there and spending that extra money anymore in LA. Gas prices are going up, home prices are going up and taxes are up too. Have you ever had Jackfruit? 🍈 _ I found this awesome throwback and thought man I miss eating Jackfruit. Yes I know they sell it at the store but it doesn’t taste the same as when you pick it on island. My brother used to bring us these giant ones straight off the tree 🤤 _ If you’ve never had it just know it’s so good, you get the flavor of juicy fruit gum. When these get ripe they let off a super sweet smell. The have a lot of layers so before cutting put oil on your hands and knife. Inside each edible bulb is made of thick orange-yellow flesh; cut it open with small knife or split the bulb with fingertips vertically. Inside each bulb, you find a thick light brown color seed; keep it aside and enjoy the delicious flesh (sheath). 😋 So good!! This size could feed your family for a week lol _ I’ve heard you can also boil the seeds but I never did it. What do you utilize for your fitness goals? Personal trainer, app, winging it (are you guessing) 👋🏽 _ Fitness is alway evolving and I’m not here to say one thing is better than the other. I hear ads on the radio pushing apps, I see a lot of people eliminating certain foods, I see tea’s, creams and miracle drops advertised. It’s confusing and most people are looking for a shortcut and want it for free. _ I want you to know a lot of things work but they are additions to eating right and putting in the work. There is no shortcuts to that part. Nutrition is 80% of your results! It’s important utilize something that you can also create a lifestyle with because once you get that body you’ll want to keep it. _ Self motivation is hard that’s why I stop selling ebooks and apps. I felt like people would do it for a short time then lose interest. Life is always happening and sometimes you need someone in your corner to remind you of your goals. You need a mentor who’s been where you are to motivate you through your journey. I’ve found when my clients are accountable they get the best results. _ As for the free part lol nothing free ever got me closer to the body I wanted. Being healthy and comfortable in my own skin has a price on it. When I start to think “ohh this is expensive” I also start to remember that if I ever got sick and couldn’t work it would devastate my family financially and the hospital bills would put me in debt. _ Waking up and feeling amazing is priceless. Knowing I earned this body with hard work and dedication to what I believe in brings me confidence. Don’t be one of those people that scroll social saying “I wish I had a body like that but ....(insert excuse)” No! You already have an amazing body, you just need to start putting in the work to make it look like what you want. It takes work, consistency and someone in your corner cheering you on and guiding you. You have to separate who you are and who they think you are or who they want you to be 🌟 Get back to you! _ If your living in a space of who they expect you to be you’ve forgotten yourself. My life for a long time was about who they wanted me to be for their benefit. I saw once I stopped I was alone but I needed to see that. I’ve separated myself stepped back to center. I was in a space of people taking without giving back and it really drained me mentally. I’ve know for years I needed to get away but it wasn’t easy. I’ve learned you only pour from your cup when it’s overflowing. If you pour from an empty cup it will destroy you. We choose not to see when others are using. Be more aware if your relationships business and personal. _ 🐴 Last night I camped at Mustang horse ranch here in California where I was blessed to relax and connect. Being from Texas this felt like home for me. We fed the horses, played with the goats, filled the cowboy 🤠 pool and soaked till sun started to set. We cooked with the campfire and sat on a swing watching the sunset listening to some old school Tejano. Me and G danced into the night. It was exactly what my heart needed. When spirit speaks I just listen and go. Thank you @malibumeditations for helping me open those doors while bringing me out of the fog. I’m grateful for you 🙏🏽 _ Horses connect with energy if yours is right they’ll always feel it. They connect on a deeper level if your open. This pretty boy followed us around he was very sweet. I hate when people say I was working out and my butt started getting smaller so I stopped. 🤦🏽‍♀️ _ You can build and mold muscle but you can’t mold fat. You either want a butt that is filled with fat or one that has more muscle. A fat butt will hang lower, have cellulite and not look firm. A muscular butt is perky, it’s firm but not like a rock and you can build muscle in places you focus on. You’ll need to shed the fat and build the muscle so don’t stop when the fat starts coming off. _ Growing a booty happens when your eating the right amounts of protein and carbs. It’s knowing how to recover and what supplements will work. Nutrition is 80% of your results ladies. You can not out workout a bad diet. _ Building a butt takes time your behind may get smaller at first but then you switch to lifting heavy and eating right as well as supplementing and over time you’ll see your butt will grow. _ In this video I was training booty 3x a week 2x heavy and my meal plan had changed drastically for this building phase. Figuring out what is gonna work takes time so be patient. This happens over time there is no shortcuts. _ Go beyond squats, lunges and deadlifts. Do a little research and get creative change up your workouts. Do things out of your comfort level and understand you’ll need to lift HEAVY in order to build. If your mouth is moving during your whole workout it’s a hint your not lifting heavy enough. _ 👋🏽 Glute Mass-Building Exercises You're Probably Not Using Barbell Glute Bridge. Shoulder-Elevated One-Leg Hip Thrust. Double Bench Hip Thrust Anterior Leaning Lunges Rear-Foot Elevated Leaning Squats Single-Leg RDLs (with Dumbbell and Cables _ Glute muscle is no different from any other muscle in your body so work everything out. I find a big booty and no legs a strange look. This @odnovahoney energy is what I use daily to help keep my #thyroid healthy while working out and training. As many of you know I was diagnosed #hypothyroid for 4 years following my NPC career. I recently stopped taking my thyroid pills and made some changes to my diet and lifestyle remaining on my Herbalife supplements and meal plan. I re-tested and I’m no longer in the hypothyroid range. When you think about workouts do you feel like it’s a chore or do you dread it? 🤔 _ Getting your heart rate up for 30 min-45min can be fun if you change your concept of workouts. Most people only think of pushing weight in the gym or long sessions on a cardio machine. _ Summer time gives you options because of the weather. I love rollerblading it really builds you butt, hamstrings and quads! Give me a straight road with no hills and I’m golden. Throw in hills and I’m out lol 😂 Think about bike rides, running bleachers at a stadium or even playing tennis. _ Most areas have a community center you can use and HS football stadiums are usually open access. Find a trail you can bike, skate or run on. Take your family with you. Make an appointment with yourself. I didn’t buy these skates new I’m always on Craigslist or goodwill looking for a deal. _ Find something you like and get active doing that! Make it fun and bring the family. I am not Hawaiian 🌺 but Hawaii is in my heart. I lived on Kauai, I visit 4x a year for weeks at a time. I will buy a home and die there one day. I love the land, the culture and the people. _ I am of Native American/ Mexican decent and understand all too well what it is to watch your sacred lands destroyed for big business, seeing your people put in cages and fighting to keep what little you have left of your heritage alive. _ Hawaii needs your help and your voice right now. For those that aren’t aware of what’s going on, the government is attempting to build a 30 meter nuclear powered telescope for scientific purposes on the tallest mountain in the world (below sea level) which happens to be on the Big Island of Hawai’i. It’s a 1.4 billion dollar project and by doing so, not only will it cause harm to the mountain but it will destroy the most sacred place to the native Hawaiian people. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened and the people of the island are fighting for what’s theirs. They have created a non-violent and peaceful protest by locking arms and using their positive energy to #ProtectMaunaKea. _ Photos of these Kūpuna (elders) in front of the line fighting and being arrested by their own people for standing up is completely devastating and brings me to tears. _ I hope this post can help spread awareness to those that may not know what’s going on and to encourage others to post on their social your voice is power and this desecration will affect you and the whole world. The secret to healthy glowing skin? Water 👈🏽 it’s as simple as staying hydrated 🙌🏽 If you ever see me you’ll see my water jug next to me. I drink 2 of these daily. 🌺 I used to live in Kauai I can’t tell you why I decided to leave it’s something I regret. I try to go back at least 4x a year until I move back. I will move back there eventually for sure. I’ve been to Oahu which is pretty but I’m just in love with Kauai. _ I saw these videos and thought wow I need to reshoot these again. The jump doesn’t look that far down but it’s high up. If you ever have the opportunity to jump into where the falls spill do it. That water has a feel like no other it’s an energy that your body absorbs. I’m obsessed with finding waterfalls when I go on trips. _ I don’t tag my locations and please don’t DM me asking where is this. If you go to these places make sure your with someone knowledgeable of the hikes and river levels. People have jumped into the pools and died because they didn’t realize it was too shallow to jump due to the season or they jump and get stuck because they couldn’t find the trail to get back up. My brother and sister in law have lived there over 5 years and I only hike with them or do the hikes I know. _ Life is short and will pass you by if you let it. Travel, explore and get out. Do things that make your heart race, try new things and collect new experience. No filters! Serious body check today (sidenote- I’m a mom of 4 boys) Okay so I just got back from 2 camping trips one was 5 days long. I also went to Las Vegas for a week and before that I was in Oahu for a week. I’ve literally been on vacation after vacation for almost a month. _ Have you ever gone on a short vacation and realized you gained like 5-10 pounds? Have you spent a grip of money on eating out on vacation and found that was your biggest cost? I’ve been mom since I was 15 years old and I’ve worked since I was 12. I’ve always supported others, I constantly give and I’ve sacrificed everything to provide for the ones I love. I feel like I got lost though. _ Both my older sons have now moved out of the state. My second son just moved out which was heartbreaking for me. I feel like a part of my life is complete, a part I started so young. Both their biological dads weren’t part of their lives so I felt more responsibility to help them to never feel that loss. They are adults now and making their way into the world. _ Sometimes as women we get so lost in “mom” that we forget who we are and what we love. We almost lose our real identity, you start to conform to what your kids like, what makes your husband happy, what social media is broadcasting, what your job demands of you. I decided I wasn’t doing that right now. My life isn’t just being mom, updating IG, or working out everyday, there is more. _ I’ve been wanting to see the Sequoia trees 🌲 for a long time. I want to fall asleep to the sound of a raging river and wake up to waterfalls. I want to see momma bears 🐻 out in the wild with their babies. I wanted to walk next to deers and hike to the most beautiful places nature built. I unplugged for 4 days and did all of that ❤️ on a camping ⛺️ trip. My family went of course and my kids had a great time. But this was about what I wanted and what I liked. I’m glad I put the work in all winter to feel good in a bikini this summer. It was all worth it. 👙❤️ _ If your currently following my posts seeing them but not liking or commenting I would really appreciate you hitting that unfollow button. What happens is the way the new Instagram update works is bigger pages with no engagement (likes or comments) from the people seeing it is looked at as not relevant. Therefor it’s removed from feeds. As an example 30k people saw my last post in 2 hours, 700 liked it, the rest scrolled past it. The algorithm then says if 30k accounts saw this and only 700 took actions the content is rated at a low score and my page gets removed from the feed. If my number is lower say 500k followers but more active engagement my page ranking goes up and my page grows. _ Why is this important? I only post 1x a day and I work really hard on my content, I put time and energy into what I shoot. I take time to write real captions in hopes of motivating others for free. I like all my comments and comment back majority of the time. Double tapping costs you nothing. I’m starting to feel like I have some amazing followers but majority is haters just watching who won’t unfollow in fear they’ll miss something 😂. _ I could just pay for likes and not bring this up but I would rather have people unfollow me and change the percentage to improve my page ranking. What’s the weather like where your at? What city are you in? _ It’s 99 and sunny here in Las Vegas I’m out here looking at homes deciding where I want to live and explore my options. _ I lived in Vegas years ago I worked at a Casino as a Showgirl. It was short lived when I figured out show people do what they do for passion not for money. They just really love what they do they pay isn’t always great. I was a principle in a new show I dropped from the ceiling sitting in a half moon. I finished my solo dancing with a Burmese python 🐍 she was my pet.     **READ** I stepped into the fitness industry in 2002 way before IG. These are some of my first published fitness shots, the first by Gucci the others shot by Muscular Development staff photographer at the time Michael S. Someone asked me when I was 17 what do you want to do for a living and I clearly remember saying “I want to be a published Fitness Model.” _ When I was a younger, I did some print work for Wal-Mart and at 19 I was a Budweiser Tejano girl in Corpus Christi, TX. My goal was fitness though I would read the magazines and envision myself sharing workouts and advice. I wanted to be shot by Robert Reiff, Per Bernal, Michael Stycket the top photographers at that time. I did this for a while until finally I got a reply from Michael.     🗣 I saw this woman make a comment about the amount of clothing I wear on my page and then another woman commented back to her and said “she does it for likes and follows.” 😳 _ A few things came to mind like I’m not sure if the public realizes that IG is a free platform so likes and follows don’t pay anyone on here. Most influencers do sponsored posts and they get paid for those but I do not do sponsored posts myself. My page hasn’t grown in years because Instagram has it blocked. _ As a health coach I firmly believe in leading by example so I try to show my results to inspire women. At 200lbs, 160lbs, or 130lbs I’ve posted myself the same. When I was pregnant with G at 200lbs I still posted in a bra and panty and bikini’s, nothing different than what I post today at 130lbs. Those photos and videos are still on my Facebook. I just think when your 200lbs it’s not “dirty” but at 133lbs for some reason it’s an issue for some people. _ I also thought 🤔 why can’t more women simply support each other or just keep it moving. Why do they feel the need to be nasty to someone they don’t know. How you view something when you categorize it as bad is based on your perception of the world around you.     Some of us were raised by addicts and some of you are the addicts. I share my story once a year to reach others. _ I was born to heroin addicts. As a child I grew up in chaos and uncertainty. I was in fear constantly, and sadness was a normal feeling in my home. Both my parents had depression and self medicated. I suffered from neglect by my parents, which led to me into being sexually abused by a family member at 5, this went on for years. I was drugged and raped as a teenager (I never told anyone until recently). I attempted suicide a few times around age 14. I was in a domestic abusive marriage at 15. I had a baby at 15 and I was homeless for a while sleeping in my car with my baby at 17. These were all side effects of being raised with addicts. We’re groomed early on to keep quiet and abuse is so normal we don’t even recognize it’s wrong or abusive, to us this is part of our environment this is our norm. Perspective between right and wrong gets distorted. _ I have this memory of my mom holding me screaming while my dad was hitting her with a closed fist. I was hysterical as my dad pulled me off of her, I was fighting to hold her. I watched helplessly, then finally my dad stopped and my mom scrambled to grab me and ran outside hysterical with blood on her face. My dad slammed the door behind her. This happened often while I was a child. She would leave but always ended up coming back. _ The abuse stopped after a few years when my little brother was born. I learned early on that this is what love was this was my image of a marriage. My dad taught us not to talk about what went on in the house. If we ever spoke of it to friends, family or school he made it clear we would be disowned. As a child the thought of being on the street alone is horrifying so you learn to stay quiet. _ We spent days and nights with no food, no water and no electricity. Sometimes losing them all at once. I clearly remember going to bed hungry, crying to sleep with my stomach cramping I was maybe 6 years old. They would say “eat your sleep you won’t be hungry”. I have vivid memories of me and my baby brother sitting in front of the open fridge eating bbq sauce (continued in comments)

    Can you drop your weight without losing your curves? 🤔 _ This is a question I see a lot from women. I’ve lost almost 25 pounds now and kept the curve. I’ve approached weightloss with a high protein diet. I eat 5 times a day spacing meals out every 3 hours. The goal for me is to reduce bodyfat and keep as much muscle as I can in the process. I used to be an NPC bikini competitor so I’ve lifted weights for years. _ The real answer will never be the same for everyone because we all start at different places. For example I’ve always lifted weights and I always focus on legs and glutes. So I have existing muscle there already. The next person may have a big booty and big legs but never lifted and their form may come from bodyfat and not muscle mass so when they approach weightloss it may start coming off from there first. _ My advice would be if your trying to keep a certain shape start lifting in those areas to build muscle. Remember you should not spot train and you can not spot reduce. You can create a plan to put more focus on an area you want to shape though. Follow a high protein diet to support muscle mass while losing body fat. And most importantly ask for help from someone who knows what they are talking about. Once you get to the body you want maintaining it becomes easier.     👋🏽Home workouts or Gym based workouts? Which do you prefer? _ Home workouts can be created easily using any heavy objects in your household like laundry detergent. But weight is not necessary to get a good sweat on! 👋🏽 _ Results ... are you seeing them? I used to have it so backwards when I started. I thought it was all cardio and weights and I never focused on food. There was a crazy time I was lifting heavy and juicing 😂 I felt tired all the time and super moody. I got thin but I couldn't create curves where I wanted them my body was flat. I would change my workouts, switch up duration and time of cardio. When I wasn't getting results or feeling better I would try and find ways to stay motivated like buying new shoes, new workout clothes or switch up my music. Nothing really worked until I hired a coach who helped me with food 🥙. Through competing I learned the time of day, weights or cardio, or duration of workout don't make a difference. 80% of results is based on nutrition and nutrition alone. _ 🙋🏽Here are some quick facts about my I rarely eat fruit, I do not consume milk, and I do not consume beef or chicken. I eat 5 small meals a day spaced out every 3 hours and I can't eat enough raw green veggies. I utilize meal replacements because it takes the guess work out. _ It's hard to find a balance of what to eat, how much to eat and what are the correct foods to get the results you want. To be honest the answer changes based on goals and where your body currently is. It's a process there are no short cuts so plan on falling in love with a lifestyle. You'll save a lot of time and frustration if you MASTER your nutrition first. 💯 Working out and eating healthy should never be something you dislike it should naturally be something your excited about.     Anyone do yoga? I prefer hot yoga but occasionally I’ll practice at home and record myself to see my form and how to adjust it. _ When I started yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️ I would see these beautiful images and I didn’t think I could do them like ever. I would tell myself that certain people were born with different capabilities. I didn’t think I could get do a handstand or get into certain poses because I’m not flexible. 😭 One day I went to a class and started practicing I sat in the back and I was so nervous. As the class started going I found sometimes things “look” harder than they are. Most of there poses happen when you stop “thinking” take a breathe, close your eyes and just go. 🙌🏽 Mind you not all my poses are perfect everything can use improvements but I’m doing what I thought I couldn’t. Don’t get stuck talking yourself out of things you want. 🙃Sometimes you need to shut off that little voice in your head that talks you out of stuff. I used to have a treadmill and I would get so bored running everyday! 🚶🏽‍♀️ _ 🔑Try this for a change of pace side walk using a band, do both sides 1 minute each _ 🔑Walking Lunges 2 minutes this is a hard one I normally go at a higher incline for this and by 2 minutes I’m dying and I have to walk it out. - 🔑 Squat hops, on the hop land softly hop a bit forward so you land with your knees aligned with your ankles. You never want to lunge or squat with your knees going over your toes. Alignment is very important. This move is a bit advanced so if your not ready don’t try it. 2 minutes 🔑 Upright side shuffle no band, go higher with the incline and keep your eyes down for balance. 2 minutes again _ 🔑 Backwards Jog, not shown here but optional.     Have you ever had Jackfruit? 🍈 _ I found this awesome throwback and thought man I miss eating Jackfruit. Yes I know they sell it at the store but it doesn’t taste the same as when you pick it on island. My brother used to bring us these giant ones straight off the tree 🤤 _ If you’ve never had it just know it’s so good, you get the flavor of juicy fruit gum. When these get ripe they let off a super sweet smell. The have a lot of layers so before cutting put oil on your hands and knife. Inside each edible bulb is made of thick orange-yellow flesh; cut it open with small knife or split the bulb with fingertips vertically. Inside each bulb, you find a thick light brown color seed; keep it aside and enjoy the delicious flesh (sheath). 😋 So good!! This size could feed your family for a week lol _ I’ve heard you can also boil the seeds but I never did it.     What do you utilize for your fitness goals? Personal trainer, app, winging it (are you guessing) 👋🏽 _ Fitness is alway evolving and I’m not here to say one thing is better than the other. I hear ads on the radio pushing apps, I see a lot of people eliminating certain foods, I see tea’s, creams and miracle drops advertised. It’s confusing and most people are looking for a shortcut and want it for free. _ I want you to know a lot of things work but they are additions to eating right and putting in the work. There is no shortcuts to that part. Nutrition is 80% of your results! It’s important utilize something that you can also create a lifestyle with because once you get that body you’ll want to keep it. _ Self motivation is hard that’s why I stop selling ebooks and apps. I felt like people would do it for a short time then lose interest. Life is always happening and sometimes you need someone in your corner to remind you of your goals. You need a mentor who’s been where you are to motivate you through your journey. I’ve found when my clients are accountable they get the best results. _ As for the free part lol nothing free ever got me closer to the body I wanted. Being healthy and comfortable in my own skin has a price on it. When I start to think “ohh this is expensive” I also start to remember that if I ever got sick and couldn’t work it would devastate my family financially and the hospital bills would put me in debt. _ Waking up and feeling amazing is priceless. Knowing I earned this body with hard work and dedication to what I believe in brings me confidence. Don’t be one of those people that scroll social saying “I wish I had a body like that but ....(insert excuse)” No! You already have an amazing body, you just need to start putting in the work to make it look like what you want. It takes work, consistency and someone in your corner cheering you on and guiding you.     You have to separate who you are and who they think you are or who they want you to be 🌟 Get back to you! _ If your living in a space of who they expect you to be you’ve forgotten yourself. My life for a long time was about who they wanted me to be for their benefit. I saw once I stopped I was alone but I needed to see that. I’ve separated myself stepped back to center. I was in a space of people taking without giving back and it really drained me mentally. I’ve know for years I needed to get away but it wasn’t easy. I’ve learned you only pour from your cup when it’s overflowing. If you pour from an empty cup it will destroy you. We choose not to see when others are using. Be more aware if your relationships business and personal. _ 🐴 Last night I camped at Mustang horse ranch here in California where I was blessed to relax and connect. Being from Texas this felt like home for me. We fed the horses, played with the goats, filled the cowboy 🤠 pool and soaked till sun started to set. We cooked with the campfire and sat on a swing watching the sunset listening to some old school Tejano. Me and G danced into the night. It was exactly what my heart needed.     I hate when people say I was working out and my butt started getting smaller so I stopped. 🤦🏽‍♀️ _ You can build and mold muscle but you can’t mold fat. You either want a butt that is filled with fat or one that has more muscle. A fat butt will hang lower, have cellulite and not look firm. A muscular butt is perky, it’s firm but not like a rock and you can build muscle in places you focus on. You’ll need to shed the fat and build the muscle so don’t stop when the fat starts coming off. _ Growing a booty happens when your eating the right amounts of protein and carbs. It’s knowing how to recover and what supplements will work. Nutrition is 80% of your results ladies. You can not out workout a bad diet. _ Building a butt takes time your behind may get smaller at first but then you switch to lifting heavy and eating right as well as supplementing and over time you’ll see your butt will grow. _ In this video I was training booty 3x a week 2x heavy and my meal plan had changed drastically for this building phase. Figuring out what is gonna work takes time so be patient. This happens over time there is no shortcuts. _ Go beyond squats, lunges and deadlifts. Do a little research and get creative change up your workouts. Do things out of your comfort level and understand you’ll need to lift HEAVY in order to build. If your mouth is moving during your whole workout it’s a hint your not lifting heavy enough. _ 👋🏽 Glute Mass-Building Exercises You're Probably Not Using Barbell Glute Bridge. Shoulder-Elevated One-Leg Hip Thrust. Double Bench Hip Thrust Anterior Leaning Lunges Rear-Foot Elevated Leaning Squats Single-Leg RDLs (with Dumbbell and Cables _ Glute muscle is no different from any other muscle in your body so work everything out. I find a big booty and no legs a strange look.     This @odnovahoney energy is what I use daily to help keep my #thyroid healthy while working out and training. As many of you know I was diagnosed #hypothyroid for 4 years following my NPC career. I recently stopped taking my thyroid pills and made some changes to my diet and lifestyle remaining on my Herbalife supplements and meal plan. I re-tested and I’m no longer in the hypothyroid range.     When you think about workouts do you feel like it’s a chore or do you dread it? 🤔 _ Getting your heart rate up for 30 min-45min can be fun if you change your concept of workouts. Most people only think of pushing weight in the gym or long sessions on a cardio machine. _ Summer time gives you options because of the weather. I love rollerblading it really builds you butt, hamstrings and quads! Give me a straight road with no hills and I’m golden. Throw in hills and I’m out lol 😂 Think about bike rides, running bleachers at a stadium or even playing tennis. _ Most areas have a community center you can use and HS football stadiums are usually open access. Find a trail you can bike, skate or run on. Take your family with you. Make an appointment with yourself. I didn’t buy these skates new I’m always on Craigslist or goodwill looking for a deal. _ Find something you like and get active doing that! Make it fun and bring the family.     I am not Hawaiian 🌺 but Hawaii is in my heart. I lived on Kauai, I visit 4x a year for weeks at a time. I will buy a home and die there one day. I love the land, the culture and the people. _ I am of Native American/ Mexican decent and understand all too well what it is to watch your sacred lands destroyed for big business, seeing your people put in cages and fighting to keep what little you have left of your heritage alive. _ Hawaii needs your help and your voice right now. For those that aren’t aware of what’s going on, the government is attempting to build a 30 meter nuclear powered telescope for scientific purposes on the tallest mountain in the world (below sea level) which happens to be on the Big Island of Hawai’i. It’s a 1.4 billion dollar project and by doing so, not only will it cause harm to the mountain but it will destroy the most sacred place to the native Hawaiian people. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened and the people of the island are fighting for what’s theirs. They have created a non-violent and peaceful protest by locking arms and using their positive energy to #ProtectMaunaKea. _ Photos of these Kūpuna (elders) in front of the line fighting and being arrested by their own people for standing up is completely devastating and brings me to tears. _ I hope this post can help spread awareness to those that may not know what’s going on and to encourage others to post on their social your voice is power and this desecration will affect you and the whole world.     The secret to healthy glowing skin? Water 👈🏽 it’s as simple as staying hydrated 🙌🏽 If you ever see me you’ll see my water jug next to me. I drink 2 of these daily.     🌺 I used to live in Kauai I can’t tell you why I decided to leave it’s something I regret. I try to go back at least 4x a year until I move back. I will move back there eventually for sure. I’ve been to Oahu which is pretty but I’m just in love with Kauai. _ I saw these videos and thought wow I need to reshoot these again. The jump doesn’t look that far down but it’s high up. If you ever have the opportunity to jump into where the falls spill do it. That water has a feel like no other it’s an energy that your body absorbs. I’m obsessed with finding waterfalls when I go on trips. _ I don’t tag my locations and please don’t DM me asking where is this. If you go to these places make sure your with someone knowledgeable of the hikes and river levels. People have jumped into the pools and died because they didn’t realize it was too shallow to jump due to the season or they jump and get stuck because they couldn’t find the trail to get back up. My brother and sister in law have lived there over 5 years and I only hike with them or do the hikes I know. _ Life is short and will pass you by if you let it. Travel, explore and get out. Do things that make your heart race, try new things and collect new experience.     No filters! Serious body check today (sidenote- I’m a mom of 4 boys) Okay so I just got back from 2 camping trips one was 5 days long. I also went to Las Vegas for a week and before that I was in Oahu for a week. I’ve literally been on vacation after vacation for almost a month. _ Have you ever gone on a short vacation and realized you gained like 5-10 pounds? Have you spent a grip of money on eating out on vacation and found that was your biggest cost?     I’ve been mom since I was 15 years old and I’ve worked since I was 12. I’ve always supported others, I constantly give and I’ve sacrificed everything to provide for the ones I love. I feel like I got lost though. _ Both my older sons have now moved out of the state. My second son just moved out which was heartbreaking for me. I feel like a part of my life is complete, a part I started so young. Both their biological dads weren’t part of their lives so I felt more responsibility to help them to never feel that loss. They are adults now and making their way into the world. _ Sometimes as women we get so lost in “mom” that we forget who we are and what we love. We almost lose our real identity, you start to conform to what your kids like, what makes your husband happy, what social media is broadcasting, what your job demands of you. I decided I wasn’t doing that right now. My life isn’t just being mom, updating IG, or working out everyday, there is more. _ I’ve been wanting to see the Sequoia trees 🌲 for a long time. I want to fall asleep to the sound of a raging river and wake up to waterfalls. I want to see momma bears 🐻 out in the wild with their babies. I wanted to walk next to deers and hike to the most beautiful places nature built. I unplugged for 4 days and did all of that ❤️ on a camping ⛺️ trip. My family went of course and my kids had a great time. But this was about what I wanted and what I liked.     I’m glad I put the work in all winter to feel good in a bikini this summer. It was all worth it. 👙❤️ _ If your currently following my posts seeing them but not liking or commenting I would really appreciate you hitting that unfollow button. What happens is the way the new Instagram update works is bigger pages with no engagement (likes or comments) from the people seeing it is looked at as not relevant. Therefor it’s removed from feeds. As an example 30k people saw my last post in 2 hours, 700 liked it, the rest scrolled past it. The algorithm then says if 30k accounts saw this and only 700 took actions the content is rated at a low score and my page gets removed from the feed. If my number is lower say 500k followers but more active engagement my page ranking goes up and my page grows. _ Why is this important? I only post 1x a day and I work really hard on my content, I put time and energy into what I shoot. I take time to write real captions in hopes of motivating others for free. I like all my comments and comment back majority of the time. Double tapping costs you nothing. I’m starting to feel like I have some amazing followers but majority is haters just watching who won’t unfollow in fear they’ll miss something 😂. _ I could just pay for likes and not bring this up but I would rather have people unfollow me and change the percentage to improve my page ranking.     What’s the weather like where your at? What city are you in? _ It’s 99 and sunny here in Las Vegas I’m out here looking at homes deciding where I want to live and explore my options. _ I lived in Vegas years ago I worked at a Casino as a Showgirl. It was short lived when I figured out show people do what they do for passion not for money. They just really love what they do they pay isn’t always great. I was a principle in a new show I dropped from the ceiling sitting in a half moon. I finished my solo dancing with a Burmese python 🐍 she was my pet. I was offered a principal role at the Luxor I would be doing a solo in a champagne bowl which entailed wet hair every night. Anyone with long hair will tell you that’s a deciding factor. I ended up feeling like this is not my passion and it’s not in my heart. I left Las Vegas to pursue a serious career in bodybuilding.
