🌟TAG A MOM PLEASE!! 🌟 _ As many of you know I have 4 kids 2 over 21 and 2 under 10. All of my pregnancies differed because of age. For example I had my first child at 15 so the experience and weightloss wasn’t like my last child at all. With my first 2 children the weight came off pretty quickly and pregnancy was a breeze. _ My last 2 were more difficult though. Both pregnancies I got over 200lbs 🤦🏽‍♀️ One I worked out my whole pregnancy the other I didn’t. No matter what I did though my body wanted to be 200lbs lol. Which is fine I feel blessed God chose me for these angels I focused on the life inside me not the weight. _ With my last baby Giovanni I worked out my whole pregnancy. I felt amazing and really enjoyed being active. I did spin classes 3x a week plus I worked out out and swam laps at the gym. _ After I had G once I was cleared to work out i was able to bring G to a private gym and workout with him. He loved the movements he was used to feeling while I was pregnant lol. I put him in the body carrier where he normally would fall asleep or I would keep him close in a stroller. _ Postpartum weight came off fairly quickly utilizing workouts, my postpartum/breastfeeding meal plan and the right support. I feel like sometimes during pregnancy and postpartum were taught to sit around and eat. When I did that previously I was miserable and depressed. This last time I was happy, excited and motivated. My baby loved the experience and today he’s an active happy toddler. _ Of course get clearance from your doctor on what’s best for you. I’m speaking from my experience but I would love to encourage more moms to get active and fit. I wanted to be healthy and I wanted to turn my life around for myself and my kids. I wanted to show other women what’s possible through my own journey. _ Prior to fitness I was living in Las Vegas and worked as a headlining showgirl at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip. I found myself drinking a lot, not eating and extremely unhappy. I blogged my transition from being unhealthy to a sponsored NPC Athlete. _ I used Instagram to keep me accountable to anyone following. I posted my workout routines. I posted motivational quotes and I encouraged others to join me. I shared exactly what I was doing showing the good and the bad. I think most people followed only to see if I failed lol. Which was fine it gave me motivation to not quit and show them they were wrong about me. _ I remember saying if I’m inspiring only one person then I’m good. I quickly made the decision to compete in NPC and go after a sponsorship. Through consistency my following grew. I landed a few sponsorships and won my first few shows. _ I gained a following by educating my followers through my own journey. I EARNED their trust by only promoting products I truly stand behind. Not posting every product for money which I take pride in. I am a source of trust to my followers they know if I talk about something it’s because I’m passionate about it. _ 🔑Today I help others do what I’ve done. Build and create an income through fitness 💰🏋🏽‍♀️ helping others. If your real, if your honest, if your informative people will follow you. Show your journey from the start. We all love an underdog story and that’s what I was, which is why my following grew. _ Ask yourself, why do I want to build a following? What do I stand for? Have you been to a waterfall? Comment below 👇🏽 how was it? _ A waterfall is one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed in nature. _ I find waterfalls so appealing because I relate water to emotion. I love how water flows, falls and crashes to create something so beautiful. It's raging water creating a beautiful tranquility. _ As the water from the fall crashes into the pool below it flows feeding the rest of the island. If you let your emotion run free, if you experienced those crashes that lead to calmness imagine the inner growth that would follow. Imagine touching others and helping them become a better version on themselves. _ I didn't start growing as a person emotionally until I let my emotion flow. For years I kept it all bottled up from the abuse, to the deaths, to my lifestyle I felt nothing. I wouldn't allow myself to experience emotion it was easier to keep it inside and push it down. But when you do that it all becomes anger. We walk among emotionless people daily. You know them I'm sure they live with us or surround us. _ Finally one day I allowed myself to feel something more than anger. I finally let go and felt hurt, disappointment, regret and forgiveness. It's like a river opened up and I let the water flow and in turn sharing my journey I'm able to help others heal. It hasn't been easy but it's been worth it. If you feel like you have been holding on to more than you should I suggest you figure out how to slowly let it out. Once you do you'll be so much better, be a waterfall. _ “Anger is like flowing water; there's nothing wrong with it as long as you let it flow. 🏖☀️Favorite beach? Name it in the comments please 👇🏽My favorite is Anini Beach in Kauai. _ I grew up in Corpus Christi, TX any great memories I have of living there are at the beach. I love the sun and the water. _ As I grew up I moved away from Corpus and lived in quite a few big cities including LA. I forgot what the beach does for my soul. It’s almost like a reset mind body and soul. As I get older I crave it more and more. _ I saw a quote that said “Your mental well health is more import than the test, the interview, the relationship. It’s more important than the job, the bills or that conversation you don’t want to have.” I thought man that’s so right! Me being at peace mentally and being happy has to take a priority. As a mom everyone’s needs tend to trump my own and I need to get better about my time for me. _ You can workout, eat clean but if you don’t take care of the things in your mind stressing you out you’ll still be unhealthy. _ At the beach today because it’s my happy place. This is where I belong ❤️ ocean, waves and kids laughing. Just like any body part you want to BUILD muscle to you need to lift heavy, recover correctly and eat for your goals. _ Here is my workout from this week if you want to try it. _ 🔥Cable Kickbacks 4 sets 15 reps (warm up) _ 🔥Booty Builder - Hip Thrust- IMO this is hands down the best booty building exercise! Go heavy but slow and controlled try and hold at the top. 4 sets 8-10 _ 🔥Smith Machine Squats - make sure your quads match your booty! 4 sets of 12-15 _ 🔥Deadlifts - find a variation that works for you it took me years to get my form right on these. You should feel them in your hamstrings. 4 sets 8-12 _ 🔥TRX Jump Squats - this is a burn out so you’ll try and go for 3 sets no rep count just go till failure. _ 📣 Form trumps weight every time. Please keep in mind I’ve been lifting for YEARS!! I’ve had some of the top coaches in the industry train me. Funny how much more you can lift when your angry. Give me a ♥️ in the comments if you carry a life trauma no one knows about. _ A bend in the road is not the end of the road…unless you fail to make the turn.- Unknown _ I've had a few times in my life I've felt lost and I realized I was anchored in place anchored by feelings of hurt, anger, and hopelessness. Not talking about something that hurt you is worse than the actual trauma. The weight of the silence is so much worse. I know I did this for years myself. _ What help me move forward was being able to talk about those things. After years of feeling stuck in anger I finally let myself feel those emotions and I wrote them down as I cried. I know it sounds cliche but if you feel a certain way try writing a letter about how you feel and be detailed. _ It's harder than it sounds but I swear it helps. When your done you can either send the letter to someone who caused you the emotion or you can burn it. Once you get those feelings out you'll feel brand new. _ I find the majority of people I help with weight issues have a big emotional block. That block doesn't let them be who they want and most times they turn to food, we refer to them as emotional eaters. We use food for comfort and rather than feeling things that hurt us we eat to forget. This is a double negative because we eat to feel better but end up with horrible self esteem because we are unhealthy, some overweight and some just yo-yoing and never getting where they want physically. _ Deal with emotion family, it's the key to your success in life. You can be who you want but you have to learn to face things head on even when they are hard and hurt you. _ Learn to heal from the inside so you can get to your goals on the outside. Yes or No? Do you ever scroll social media and think “She/He is perfect” comment below 👇🏽 _ Guess what most of us are not, most of us struggle daily. I am comprised of tiny broken pieces there is no perfection here. Nothing has ever been given to me, I have fought my whole life. Who am I? I am the woman you see today, I had get through some hard situations and not give up to grow into who I am now. _ *I was raised by heroin addicted parents me and my siblings experienced nights of no food, no electricity, no water and to survive we had to rely on each other. _ *As a child I was abused by a family member I think if my parents weren't so high for so long maybe they would have seen the signs. I still hold a lot of resentment towards my parents for not protecting me at such a young age. _ *As a teen I got pregnant at 15 and married a very abusive guy. I was hospitalized more times than I can count. I was too ashamed to tell anyone and I took drastic steps to cover up the abuse. I'm lucky I got out alive I couldn't see that till a few years ago. He was later arrested for attempted Murder on his next partner. That easily could have been me. _ *My parents passed in their early 40's my mom from Hep. When she shared a heroin needle, my dad took his own life 3 months later. As I child I have no memories of hearing "I love you" or getting that warm embrace I needed many times. Because of this I'm very guarded and I don't trust anyone when it comes to love. My self worth was so low for so long I made some terrible mistakes in my 20's. _ *My passion and drive for health, fitness, and helping others comes from the situations I've been through in my life. Helping others heals my soul, you are the glue that holds my pieces together. Thank you for trusting and believing in me and for those select people on my team you give me life you give me the confidence to believe in myself. _ I believe I am more than my circumstances, more than what I've been through. What holds you back? What’s your biggest hold up when it comes to fitness? Comment below 👇🏽 _ 🤷🏽‍♀️ Have you ever got to the gym and stood there like now what? Totally lost with no real plan. Have you ever looked at the free weights and been scared to pick up the weights. What do I do to get the results I want. _ Let me tell you something I tell all my clients. Most people overthink the exercise part and complicate it. We scroll on social and assume I’ll just do what she’s doing, right? Exercise counts for 20% of your results the other 80% is nutrition. Don’t make it hard babe. _ 🏋🏽‍♀️The exercise should be fun and doesn’t need to be complicated. As long as your active you’ll be okay. I want you to think outside of traditional bodybuilding. Start easy join a bootcamp style group workout, try a Zumba class, take the kids to the park and get active for 30 min straight. There are so many options like yoga, Pilates, a spin class. Ask yourself what do I enjoy and then do that. Be open to trying new things and having fun. 💪🏽 _ You’ll stick to your program if your doing something you love and your seeing results. Make sure your nutrition is on point for the results you want to get. Nutrition is 80% if your results so really pay attention to that part. We can eat to gain, eat to lose, eat to maintain but your macro count will differ for all of these goals. _ 🎯I love helping people fall in love with the process. It’s a season of less clothes and beach wear. 👙 _ Now is the perfect time to slowly get into the groove of working out 💪🏽. Give me a 👍🏽 in the comments if you love training legs and glutes!🍑 Please click the ribbon under this video and SAVE it for later. _ 😍 I put a list together of 4 gym based workouts for lower body and 1 for abs. I did these in circuits to get a good workout 🏋🏽‍♀️ in 30 min. A circuit is moving in a fast pace from one workout to the next and breaking after all exercises are complete. For example put 4-5 exercises together, aim for 12 reps and 4-5 rounds. You should be out of breath and your heart rate should be up. You’ll want to use a moderate weight not too heavy not too light. _ 🗣A big mistake I see people making in the gym is going too heavy and not focusing on form. Remember form is everything, if your form is off going heavy is pointless your more likely to injure yourself. _ 🗣Another mistake is being in your cell phone or talking in the gym. Doing both of these will cause you to lose focus and also time. Try to put your phone on airplane mode while you train and avoid conversations till after your done. _ 📣Do you need a meal plan and workout? I would love to coach you through your transformation. Name one place 👇🏽 _ This is Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a large canyon, approximately ten miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep, located on the western side of Kauaʻi in the Hawaiian Islands of the United States. Waimea is Hawaiian for "reddish water", a reference to the erosion of the canyon's red soil. 🤷🏽‍♀️What’s your biggest issue when it comes to fitness? Mine is finding time. _ 🔥Video 1 -Reverse Hack Squat- It is a compound movement that does not merely isolate the hamstrings but becomes a vital strength exercise targeting overall leg development. When performing the exercise, the core is engaged throughout the movement which makes it even more athletic and challenging. _ 🔥Video 2 - Killed upper body these were a few of our exercises. I love tight arms in the summer so I'm working on triceps, biceps and of course my favorite rear delts _ 🔥Video 3- Full body today! Check out that upper body pump lol those battle ropes are no joke! I did a round of ropes, weighted jump squats, hamstrings, back to ropes. 5 rounds no breaks I was drenched at the end I left nothing to spare _ 🔥Video 4 - My warmup consisted of leg extensions and leg curls. I added these two exercises leg abductions and variation of sissy squats using a thick band tied to a bar. I did a super set of barbell squats, barbell deadlifts and overhead lunges burnout with sissy squats with holds. I did reps of 15-20 of each exercise fast paced for 4 rounds nonstop. _ 🔥Video 5 -My lower body is the hardest part for me to tone, my legs and butt store the most body fat. My goal is to get my legs tight so I work them 2x a week one heavy day and one plyometric. Plyometrics are usually fast paced with no weight and involve a jump. Your working different muscle fibers than you do with heavy lifting so it will round out your training. I always do some kind of squat jump today I did an elevated pop squat combined with jumping over the bench, mountain climbers for abs and core, and then elevated push up for chest, arms and core. You can run this circuit nonstop for minimum 4 rounds this was my last round and clearly I was done. _ 📣My 90 day challenge starts March 4th! This diet and that diet, too many people looking for a quick fix that is not sustainable. That WORD is the reason most of us aren’t the size we want to be. DIET. I mean really, who enjoys a diet? I believe in adopting realistic lifestyle changes. _ Diets are restricting. Diet takes away things that you don’t want to give up. Diets are temporary and often times unenjoyable for the long run. Who wants to do something that makes them miserable AND only holds temporary effects? _ NOT ME! _ A lifestyle change should be enjoyable. It’s your new way of life, and you certainly don’t want to be miserable craving things here and there then feeling guilty when you have them. _ So what are some aspects of a lifestyle change that are different than DIETTING? _ You often times have to give something up on a diet. That’s not the case in a lifestyle. Instead of restricting yourself, you moderate yourself. You still have that piece of cake, just in moderation. You can still eat that 2 piece fried chicken with the fries, just not every single day. You get to where you want to be and incorporate cheat meals. _ If you always restrict yourself, you will feel miserable and have an unhealthy relationship with food. That’s not what we want. I love food! Food is my friend! Your lifestyle doesn’t have to be restricting unless you want it to be, like if you were cutting for instance. _ There are many benefits to learning to eat healthier daily over doing a strict diet for a few days. My great grandmother and her family fled here illegally on a boat from Italy with her family. Laser tattoo removal at @laseraway swipe left to see results so far. _ I do have a big regret though ... I really regret not getting this done sooner. My roses are actually red now and I’m so happy. I had heard about laser tattoo removal for a while but I stayed away because so many people talked about how painful it is. 🏖 Anyone workout at the beach? The sand and the heat add to the workout. Changing your environment helps with burn out. If you have access to a beach/park switch up 1 workout a week there. _ 🎯Try changing things up design yourself a 30 min beach workout. These are normally done in the morning with a HIIT style workout in mind. Stay hydrated and try to partner up. _ 🎯These videos go through non-weighted workout ideas. But sandbags, leg weights, and bands are all good ideas to use. You can easily design yourself 6 workouts then do 4 rounds with 25-30 reps as an idea. _ 🎯Stay active and keep your heart rate up. Not all workouts have to be done at the gym. You just need to be motivated to move! _ Results are 80% nutrition and 20% exercise so make sure your meal plan is on point. Where is your dream spot? I’m back in Kauai Hawaii ❤️ I’m so grateful that I have the freedom to visit so often. At least till I’m able to move back 😉 _ I think every situation in our lives leads us to where we should be. Sometimes when we’re going through the storm we don’t see the light at the end. 🤦🏽‍♀️Do you ever feel overwhelmed and you need to stop and recharge! _ 🗣How to Know When You Need to Recharge Sometimes we can push our bodies to their limit. Not just working out, but with the day to day activities we engage in. We become so busy that sleep is far and few in between. Our minds are always going a mile a minute with the next thing we need to get done, what we still need to accomplish. The work is never done. 🎯How do you know it’s time to recharge? First, you’re exhausted all the time. We aren’t talking just your regular tired feeling because you didn’t get much sleep. We are talking sluggish, mind fuzzy, barely able to focus exhausted. This is a sure sign that your body is running on fumes and needs a rest! Another sign is that you’re easily irritated. Now sometimes, we have bad days. I’m not talking about just a bad day where every little thing is getting under your skin. I’m talking about when you notice for a long period of time you are constantly irritated by things that would normally not bother you. And, there’s nothing that can really change your mood. Again, this is something that could mean you need a break. You’ve taken on a lot, you have a lot going on, it’s time to take a step back momentarily to regroup. Just going through the motions. When there is no drive for your activities, you aren’t focused or motivated about anything, and you are just doing what you know you need to do. 🙈Having a Better Attitude Toward Fitness _ When you think of when it comes to working out, do you see it as a punishment, a short term goal, or are you excited. As you all have probably heard me say a thousand times, it starts in your mind. Your perception of being getting healthy will determine your outcome as well as consistency. _ Your attitude has to be right. So what’s your attitude? Your attitude is your way of thinking or feeling about something, which is reflected in your personal lifestyle. Basically, the way you think or feel about something or someone is going to determine how you treat it, or them. _ Most people have a love/hate attitude towards fitness, there for they treat it with love and hate. This used to be me. I loved the benefits fitness had on my body, but I hated cardio, eating healthy, and getting up to workout when I didn’t feel like it. Some of you may be something like me. So the cycle was as follows: Go hard in the gym for a month, maybe longer. Eat super healthy (restricting myself from the things I love because it’s been drilled into me that they are bad for you.) Then, falling off the wagon. Having life happen and then before I know it I’m looking at my friends like “Gym who?” So how can you change your attitude? _ 💚Find your motivation: I have a whole post dedicated to this because it is so imperative. If you don’t know why you are doing what you are doing, you will always look at it from a negative standpoint. _ 💚Determine why you may have a negative outlook: If you have a bad attitude towards fitness now, find out why that is. Are you insecure about being in a gym? Do you despise running? What’s the reason your attitude is negative. _ 💚Look for different perspectives: Once you determine why you have a negative perspective, find ways to look at fitness from a different perspective. Can you look at the “cheat” meals as “treat” meals for doing a good job instead of as something you will have to work extra hard to recover from? _ 🗣Changing your attitude towards fitness can go a long way in your success. Give me a 👍🏽 in the comments 👇🏽 _ 🎯Video 1 - Quick but effective workout with little to no weight 🌟 Lunges with a twist for core, abs, burpees which I'm horrible with lol and lunges with overhead weight . 4 exercises time yourself doing 30 minutes high intensity no breaks. _ 🎯 Video 2 - Try these burners at the gym the first is an advanced abdominal workout combining arms and core. The second is a walking lunge with squats combined both 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 _ 🎯 Video 3 -Killed lower body yesterday and used these 2 exercises as finishers. Weighted cable kickbacks hold and squeeze at the top. The second was lunges with a pop in the front the resistance band helps a lot place it over the shoulder and under your toe. Again use these as finishers do high reps of 20 and 3 sets. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 _ 🎯(not playing sorry 😪) Video 4- I'm sure everyone has seen this machine at the gym but do you realize you can work your whole body on here. Legs, arms, back, abs and shoulders! If your gym is ever too packed park yourself at this machine grab the cable accessories and start getting creative. I started with biceps moved to rear delts, back then finished with abs. 4 rounds go for 15 reps abs do 50 reps and repeat with no breaks. _ 🎯Video 5- Full body today! 🗣Dealing With Negativity, how do you deal with it? _ Be Prepared: Some of the worst days for me are the ones that catch me off guard. Have you ever had a day like that? When you wake up feeling good, having high expectations for the day, then it seems like you are the only one in the world who woke up on the right side of the bed. Every person you encounter in every direction seems to be a Negative Nancy. A Negative Ned. _ These are the times you need to be prepared for. You have to make up in your mind early that no matter what, you are going to find the positive in whatever you are doing or coming up against. Preparing yourself by making this decision can make it much easier to ignore everybody else’s negativity _ React Positively: This is easier said than done. Nothing is harder to me than trying to be the bigger person when someone is clearly in the wrong and a complete and utter horrible person in that moment. Do the kind thing anyway. At the end of the day, you want to rub off on them instead of the other way around. (And even if you don’t it tends to irritate people so much more than when you respond negatively, which makes me laugh. _ Remove Yourself from the Environment: When possible, simply remove yourself from the situation. You don’t HAVE to sit there in a negative environment and slowly feel all your positivity drain from your body. You can chose not to have that conversation right now. Make a choice to put yourself in the most ideal environment in the moment to keep your composure and sanity. _ Ignore It: This last one is another one that is easier said than done. Depending on where you negativity comes from, simply ignore it. It would take more energy from you to respond or react than it would to move on without even acknowledging it. 💪🏽Tips To Motivate Yourself to Work Out You watch fitness videos all the time! In your head, you are ready to get to work. You even sit down and type out a workout plan. Then the day comes. The hour comes. When you have to get off your couch, out of your bed, change those comfy pajamas, and head to the gym. _ It’s at this moment that for most of us, we start to get tired, drowsy, and even sleepy. Then we convince ourselves that our body would betray us if we were to hit that gym right now. We will convince ourselves that our body needs to rest but we will get back in the gym the next day. So how do you keep yourself motivated to get up and get your workout on? _ 🎯Keep Your Goals in Mind: I’ve said it time and time again, mindset is everything. When you are fully aware of your goals and have a deep desire to see them brought to completion, you are more likely to stick to whatever you chose to do. _ 🎯Schedule Rest Days: Like “treat” days, rest days may be something that some of you look forward to. If you are struggling to get to the gym 7 days a week, know that your body needs rest. Schedule a day or two where you aren’t training, at least not hard. _ 🎯Change Up Your Routine: Working out can get real boring, real fast if you are doing the same things over and over and over again. Switch up your training routine. Try out some new exercises. _ 🎯Work Out With A Friend: I am personally someone who prefers to work out alone, however there are some people who enjoy working out when they have a partner or are in a group setting. Try to work out with a friend, or check out some different group classes that you may be able to attend. _ There are plenty of ways to motivate yourself to get going, you just have to create the right mindset and stick to it. It’s easier to get to the gym when you are home. You have a routine, and the gym or working out is a part of that routine. Once you get in the habit of a routine, you’re less likely to break it. _ 🏋🏻‍♂️ Traveling breaks the routine! _ No matter how often you travel, traveling disrupts your normally scheduled eating times, and your regularly attended workout sessions. If you are just traveling for vacation or a family emergency once a year or so, you may be ok. But if you are an avid traveler, you may need some tips to keep fit on the go. _ 🎯Create a Traveling Fitness Plan: If you travel often, make a normal routine for your traveling schedule. Find hotels that have access to free gyms. Develop a workout plan, or get a home workout video that you can do in your hotel room. Find a hotel that has an easily accessible path for a run. You want to modify what you normally do in the gym to fit a time and space restrained area. _ 🎯Pre Pack Healthy Snacks: You know us fitness freaks are always hungry! Traveling cannot only take a toll on your pocketbook, but also on your eating habits. 👋🏽Any busy moms out there trying to get fit? Give me a ❤️ in the comments please! _ It’s already February 2019. Your New Year’s Resolution was the same as it has always been: this year, I will be healthier, get in shape, get serious about losing weight. Yet somehow, it’s February and nothing has been accomplished. _ If this isn’t your story, I applaud you. But for most of us, this is how it goes every year. But starting today, that doesn’t have to be the case! _ I know, I know. You have a million things on your plate. The kids have so many things to do. How will you ever have the time to go to a gym long enough to work out? If you are a busy mom, like most of us are, I have a few tips and tricks to help you get focused and motivated. Summer is almost upon us already, and it’s not too late for you to get that hot mom bod ready for a bikini! (Or, maybe at least some shorts if bikinis aren’t your thing.) _ Prepare your mind: Fitness and Healthy lifestyles all start in your mind. So right now, you have to set your mind on what your goals are. Get ready and focused. Decide in your mind first that you are going to do whatever you can to reach those goals! Once you conquer the doubt and dismay in your mind, you have already won the battle. _ Find 20-30 minutes in your day, and start there: This lifestyle requires some sacrifice, but I’m not asking you to find a whole chunk of your day to get in the gym and train like a body builder. Just find 20-30 minutes. No matter where that thirty minutes is, decide that you are going to work out. _ Be Patient: You set your mind on your goals. That’s great. You’ve found the time and started working out. Even better! Now, stick to it. Don’t be like the old me, giving up after a month because nothing was happening. It can take time to reach your body goals. Keep pushing. _ Don’t Give Up: Most importantly, DON’T GIVE UP! So you missed your workout today, just get back to it tomorrow, or whatever day you can. So you ate a slice of pizza (or 12), don’t say you have to wait until the next Monday to start again. Just get back on track at the next meal or the next workout. _ 👉🏽Need help try my program! Home workouts for all my stay at home parents 🏡 _ 🔥 Video 1 - #homeworkout today using my @xbarfitness for kickbacks on the carpet 👏🏼 followed by abs, lunges with a shoulder press, abs again and finished with bicep curls to a row. 30 reps for 4 rounds non stop. _ 🔥 Video 2 -Sunday evening workout with Giovanni while dinner cooks. Squats and abs little G weighs about 16 pounds now so lifting him with squats is a lot lol _ 🔥 Video 3 - #homeworkout today using my @flyupfitness sliders on the carpet 👏🏼 full body circuit 30 reps for 4 rounds non stop. _ 🔥 Video 4 - I was able to get a quick 30 minute workout in today while watching TV and playing with Giovanni. It's hard with this #injury but I'm not going to let it stop me. Focusing on mostly abs lately and and glute movements I can do without putting pressure on my leg. _ 🔥Video 5 - Do you have any advice for moms and dads who can't get to the gym. 💔 Break-up? Rejection? Anyone been through that recently? Drop a 👍🏽 in the comments _ I was talking to a friend about this guy I with. We were together for 6 years at the end I found out he was cheating. He put the whole thing on me somehow it was my fault he cheated but I still left. _ That whole experience really messed with me for a while. I felt like there was something wrong with me. I felt like I wasn’t good enough and I compared myself to this girl, like what does she have that I don’t. It was crazy the emotional damage that was done to my confidence. _ When we get rejected in any way we always feel like “what’s wrong with me or I’m not good enough” after years I found closure in the fact that it wasn’t me it was him. He was weak and didn’t have the skills to communicate an issue out of fear. _ I had a real conversation with him and asked him why he said “after years I just wanted to see if I could still get a girl”. My face literally dropped because there it was it was him. It wasn’t me, there was nothing wrong with me. _ Don’t take rejection and internalize it you’ll kill yourself doing that fam. More times than not that rejection comes from their fear. You my love are amazing, your deserving, and your special. I believe when God removes people from our lives it’s to make room for better. _ Thankful that relationship ended lol because it really did make room for so many more blessings. At the time it happened I cried for weeks. I wish I could have seen the future. Change your perception in life, believe in your greatness and know there is someone special out there for you. What would you like to improve when it comes to health and fitness? _ A lot of people think of fitness and only think of weight loss. This is my friend @ii_julie_ii She is a wife and mom of 2. She followed me on Instagram and one day hit me up about my fitness program. _ Once she joined I found out the biggest thing Julie wanted to change was her level of energy. She had 2 kids and she always felt tired after work. To the point she couldn’t play with her kids not because she didn’t want to she simply did not have the energy. We set her up on a program for busy moms and set some goals. She’s now lost over 50 pounds and her kids are trying to keep up with mommy. Her family hikes together on the weekends and her kids are so happy. _ As Julie was losing weight, family and co-workers started to notice and they asked her what was she doing. Does anyone deal with work harassment? How do you deal with it mentally and ethically? _ Although I’m an #entrepreneur I still deal with this constantly. You wouldn’t believe the stuff I deal with. What bothers me most is not understanding how people think and operate or their reasoning, when they do these things. _ Many of you know I work in real estate, just this morning a broker sent me very inappropriate images via DM because he was feeling ignored. I just thought wow I really have to deal with this as a woman in this business. _ Even within Herbalife I deal with harassment more times it’s from other female distributors. If someone posts me and states how much they appreciate my posts..there are women that make nasty comments, right under it. I’ve literally heard them making nasty comments at local events. They message my business partners, clients and other distributors. It’s crazy that lengths that people will go to so they can bring someone down.. _ I find a lot of harassment happen when your successful. When I had a smaller Instagram around 200k followers I didn’t deal with it so much. When I lived in Hawaii away from everything and out of the spotlight no one cared. It’s really sad but I believe maybe God is teaching you to be tougher. _ I’m not gonna lie it’s gotten to points like this morning where I’ve thought about quitting but I remember God has a plan for me. I have to keep my head up and trust him to fight the battles that weren’t meant for me. Nothing good comes easy. If your going through something similar please don’t give up. I have a gypsy soul and I have a hard time committing with roots. When the subject of buying comes up I’ve always said “I have bad credit” not really knowing the kind of loans are out there. _ A few years ago I sat down with a lender to see if the theory of “bad credit” was real. I was shocked to learn that not only did we qualify for a loan but we also qualified for a loan with NO DOWN PAYMENT!! _ The lender gave me tips on improving my credit and this whole process cost me nothing! My realtor guided me through the process as a buyer I had no idea this was free for me. _ As many of you know I am now a Realtor now here in California. 👋🏽What’s everyone doing today? Happy to be back in LA!! _ I was looking back on some old photos when I was a kid. I felt like man I’m grateful to be here today. There were quite a few times in life, I contemplated if it was worth staying around. A few times I followed through and I attempted to take my life. God said nope I have better plans for you. _ I thought about all the things I’ve done since then. My beautiful children I’ve had and how much life has given me. The power to reinvent myself over and over again. Changing my perception of the world and myself 🌎 letting go of the past. Forgiving myself, those around me and choosing to be happy. _ I’ve traveled so much because I made the decision to do it. Ive seen so much beauty in the world. I’ve met angels 👼🏼 who elevated my life. Friends that I now call family. People have said to me “because of you I didn’t give up” which is the ultimate compliment. I never thought I would have the power to help others. _ You can’t see the future and how amazing it is when your in your darkest moments. NEVER give up because your life can change in a second. Things will get better if you make the decision to change things. It starts from within though. _ If I look back at my broken self I would say “you have a purpose, you have the power to change someone’s life for the better. God has a plan for you! Look for the signs and walk with him” _ No matter where your at go outside and see how beautiful it is. Let all the negative feelings go and say today I’m going to change.     🌟TAG A MOM PLEASE!! 🌟 _ As many of you know I have 4 kids 2 over 21 and 2 under 10. All of my pregnancies differed because of age. For example I had my first child at 15 so the experience and weightloss wasn’t like my last child at all. With my first 2 children the weight came off pretty quickly and pregnancy was a breeze. _ My last 2 were more difficult though. Both pregnancies I got over 200lbs 🤦🏽‍♀️ One I worked out my whole pregnancy the other I didn’t. No matter what I did though my body wanted to be 200lbs lol. Which is fine I feel blessed God chose me for these angels I focused on the life inside me not the weight. _ With my last baby Giovanni I worked out my whole pregnancy. I felt amazing and really enjoyed being active. I did spin classes 3x a week plus I worked out out and swam laps at the gym. _ After I had G once I was cleared to work out i was able to bring G to a private gym and workout with him. He loved the movements he was used to feeling while I was pregnant lol. I put him in the body carrier where he normally would fall asleep or I would keep him close in a stroller. _ Postpartum weight came off fairly quickly utilizing workouts, my postpartum/breastfeeding meal plan and the right support. I feel like sometimes during pregnancy and postpartum were taught to sit around and eat. When I did that previously I was miserable and depressed. This last time I was happy, excited and motivated. My baby loved the experience and today he’s an active happy toddler. _ Of course get clearance from your doctor on what’s best for you. I’m speaking from my experience but I would love to encourage more moms to get active and fit. I wanted to be healthy and I wanted to turn my life around for myself and my kids. I wanted to show other women what’s possible through my own journey. _ Prior to fitness I was living in Las Vegas and worked as a headlining showgirl at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip. I found myself drinking a lot, not eating and extremely unhappy. I blogged my transition from being unhealthy to a sponsored NPC Athlete. _ I used Instagram to keep me accountable to anyone following. I posted my workout routines. I posted motivational quotes and I encouraged others to join me. I shared exactly what I was doing showing the good and the bad. I think most people followed only to see if I failed lol. Which was fine it gave me motivation to not quit and show them they were wrong about me. _ I remember saying if I’m inspiring only one person then I’m good. I quickly made the decision to compete in NPC and go after a sponsorship. Through consistency my following grew. I landed a few sponsorships and won my first few shows. _ I gained a following by educating my followers through my own journey. I EARNED their trust by only promoting products I truly stand behind. Not posting every product for money which I take pride in. I am a source of trust to my followers they know if I talk about something it’s because I’m passionate about it. _ 🔑Today I help others do what I’ve done. Build and create an income through fitness 💰🏋🏽‍♀️ helping others. If your real, if your honest, if your informative people will follow you. Show your journey from the start. We all love an underdog story and that’s what I was, which is why my following grew. _ Ask yourself, why do I want to build a following? What do I stand for?     Have you been to a waterfall? Comment below 👇🏽 how was it? _ A waterfall is one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed in nature. _ I find waterfalls so appealing because I relate water to emotion. I love how water flows, falls and crashes to create something so beautiful. It's raging water creating a beautiful tranquility. _ As the water from the fall crashes into the pool below it flows feeding the rest of the island. If you let your emotion run free, if you experienced those crashes that lead to calmness imagine the inner growth that would follow. Imagine touching others and helping them become a better version on themselves. _ I didn't start growing as a person emotionally until I let my emotion flow. For years I kept it all bottled up from the abuse, to the deaths, to my lifestyle I felt nothing. I wouldn't allow myself to experience emotion it was easier to keep it inside and push it down. But when you do that it all becomes anger. We walk among emotionless people daily. You know them I'm sure they live with us or surround us. _ Finally one day I allowed myself to feel something more than anger. I finally let go and felt hurt, disappointment, regret and forgiveness. It's like a river opened up and I let the water flow and in turn sharing my journey I'm able to help others heal. It hasn't been easy but it's been worth it. If you feel like you have been holding on to more than you should I suggest you figure out how to slowly let it out.     🏖☀️Favorite beach? Name it in the comments please 👇🏽My favorite is Anini Beach in Kauai. _ I grew up in Corpus Christi, TX any great memories I have of living there are at the beach. I love the sun and the water. _ As I grew up I moved away from Corpus and lived in quite a few big cities including LA. I forgot what the beach does for my soul. It’s almost like a reset mind body and soul. As I get older I crave it more and more. _ I saw a quote that said “Your mental well health is more import than the test, the interview, the relationship. It’s more important than the job, the bills or that conversation you don’t want to have.” I thought man that’s so right! Me being at peace mentally and being happy has to take a priority. As a mom everyone’s needs tend to trump my own and I need to get better about my time for me. _ You can workout, eat clean but if you don’t take care of the things in your mind stressing you out you’ll still be unhealthy. _ At the beach today because it’s my happy place. This is where I belong ❤️ ocean, waves and kids laughing. Thank you in advance 🙏🏽 _ People say “I want to build a booty” then get scared to lift heavy. Just like any body part you want to BUILD muscle to you need to lift heavy, recover correctly and eat for your goals. _ Here is my workout from this week if you want to try it. _ 🔥Cable Kickbacks 4 sets 15 reps (warm up) _ 🔥Booty Builder - Hip Thrust- IMO this is hands down the best booty building exercise! Go heavy but slow and controlled try and hold at the top. 4 sets 8-10 _ 🔥Smith Machine Squats - make sure your quads match your booty! 4 sets of 12-15 _ 🔥Deadlifts - find a variation that works for you it took me years to get my form right on these. You should feel them in your hamstrings. 4 sets 8-12 _ 🔥TRX Jump Squats - this is a burn out so you’ll try and go for 3 sets no rep count just go till failure. _ 📣 Form trumps weight every time. Please keep in mind I’ve been lifting for YEARS!! I’ve had some of the top coaches in the industry train me. Funny how much more you can lift when your angry.     Give me a ♥️ in the comments if you carry a life trauma no one knows about. _ A bend in the road is not the end of the road…unless you fail to make the turn.- Unknown _ I've had a few times in my life I've felt lost and I realized I was anchored in place anchored by feelings of hurt, anger, and hopelessness. Not talking about something that hurt you is worse than the actual trauma. The weight of the silence is so much worse. I know I did this for years myself. _ What help me move forward was being able to talk about those things. After years of feeling stuck in anger I finally let myself feel those emotions and I wrote them down as I cried. I know it sounds cliche but if you feel a certain way try writing a letter about how you feel and be detailed. _ It's harder than it sounds but I swear it helps. When your done you can either send the letter to someone who caused you the emotion or you can burn it. Once you get those feelings out you'll feel brand new. _ I find the majority of people I help with weight issues have a big emotional block. That block doesn't let them be who they want and most times they turn to food, we refer to them as emotional eaters. We use food for comfort and rather than feeling things that hurt us we eat to forget. This is a double negative because we eat to feel better but end up with horrible self esteem because we are unhealthy, some overweight and some just yo-yoing and never getting where they want physically. _ Deal with emotion family, it's the key to your success in life. You can be who you want but you have to learn to face things head on even when they are hard and hurt you. _ Learn to heal from the inside so you can get to your goals on the outside.     Yes or No? Do you ever scroll social media and think “She/He is perfect” comment below 👇🏽 _ Guess what most of us are not, most of us struggle daily. I am comprised of tiny broken pieces there is no perfection here. Nothing has ever been given to me, I have fought my whole life. Who am I? I am the woman you see today, I had get through some hard situations and not give up to grow into who I am now. _ *I was raised by heroin addicted parents me and my siblings experienced nights of no food, no electricity, no water and to survive we had to rely on each other. _ *As a child I was abused by a family member I think if my parents weren't so high for so long maybe they would have seen the signs. I still hold a lot of resentment towards my parents for not protecting me at such a young age. _ *As a teen I got pregnant at 15 and married a very abusive guy. I was hospitalized more times than I can count. I was too ashamed to tell anyone and I took drastic steps to cover up the abuse. I'm lucky I got out alive I couldn't see that till a few years ago. He was later arrested for attempted Murder on his next partner. That easily could have been me. _ *My parents passed in their early 40's my mom from Hep. When she shared a heroin needle, my dad took his own life 3 months later. As I child I have no memories of hearing "I love you" or getting that warm embrace I needed many times. Because of this I'm very guarded and I don't trust anyone when it comes to love. My self worth was so low for so long I made some terrible mistakes in my 20's. _ *My passion and drive for health, fitness, and helping others comes from the situations I've been through in my life. Helping others heals my soul, you are the glue that holds my pieces together.     What holds you back? What’s your biggest hold up when it comes to fitness? Comment below 👇🏽 _ 🤷🏽‍♀️ Have you ever got to the gym and stood there like now what? Totally lost with no real plan. Have you ever looked at the free weights and been scared to pick up the weights. What do I do to get the results I want. _ Let me tell you something I tell all my clients. Most people overthink the exercise part and complicate it. We scroll on social and assume I’ll just do what she’s doing, right? Exercise counts for 20% of your results the other 80% is nutrition. Don’t make it hard babe. _ 🏋🏽‍♀️The exercise should be fun and doesn’t need to be complicated. As long as your active you’ll be okay. I want you to think outside of traditional bodybuilding. Start easy join a bootcamp style group workout, try a Zumba class, take the kids to the park and get active for 30 min straight. There are so many options like yoga, Pilates, a spin class. Ask yourself what do I enjoy and then do that. Be open to trying new things and having fun. 💪🏽 _ You’ll stick to your program if your doing something you love and your seeing results. Make sure your nutrition is on point for the results you want to get. Nutrition is 80% if your results so really pay attention to that part.     Give me a 👍🏽 in the comments if you love training legs and glutes!🍑 Please click the ribbon under this video and SAVE it for later. _ 😍 I put a list together of 4 gym based workouts for lower body and 1 for abs. I did these in circuits to get a good workout 🏋🏽‍♀️ in 30 min. A circuit is moving in a fast pace from one workout to the next and breaking after all exercises are complete. For example put 4-5 exercises together, aim for 12 reps and 4-5 rounds. You should be out of breath and your heart rate should be up. You’ll want to use a moderate weight not too heavy not too light. _ 🗣A big mistake I see people making in the gym is going too heavy and not focusing on form. Remember form is everything, if your form is off going heavy is pointless your more likely to injure yourself. _ 🗣Another mistake is being in your cell phone or talking in the gym. Doing both of these will cause you to lose focus and also time.     🤷🏽‍♀️What’s your biggest issue when it comes to fitness? Mine is finding time. _ 🔥Video 1 -Reverse Hack Squat- It is a compound movement that does not merely isolate the hamstrings but becomes a vital strength exercise targeting overall leg development. When performing the exercise, the core is engaged throughout the movement which makes it even more athletic and challenging. _ 🔥Video 2 - Killed upper body these were a few of our exercises. I love tight arms in the summer so I'm working on triceps, biceps and of course my favorite rear delts _ 🔥Video 3- Full body today! Check out that upper body pump lol those battle ropes are no joke! I did a round of ropes, weighted jump squats, hamstrings, back to ropes. 5 rounds no breaks I was drenched at the end I left nothing to spare _ 🔥Video 4 - My warmup consisted of leg extensions and leg curls. I added these two exercises leg abductions and variation of sissy squats using a thick band tied to a bar. I did a super set of barbell squats, barbell deadlifts and overhead lunges burnout with sissy squats with holds. I did reps of 15-20 of each exercise fast paced for 4 rounds nonstop. _ 🔥Video 5 -My lower body is the hardest part for me to tone, my legs and butt store the most body fat. My goal is to get my legs tight so I work them 2x a week one heavy day and one plyometric. Plyometrics are usually fast paced with no weight and involve a jump. Your working different muscle fibers than you do with heavy lifting so it will round out your training. I always do some kind of squat jump today I did an elevated pop squat combined with jumping over the bench, mountain climbers for abs and core, and then elevated push up for chest, arms and core. You can run this circuit nonstop for minimum 4 rounds this was my last round and clearly I was done. _ 📣My 90 day challenge starts March 4th! This diet and that diet, too many people looking for a quick fix that is not sustainable. That WORD is the reason most of us aren’t the size we want to be. DIET. I mean really, who enjoys a diet? I believe in adopting realistic lifestyle changes. _ Diets are restricting. Diet takes away things that you don’t want to give up. Diets are temporary and often times unenjoyable for the long run. Who wants to do something that makes them miserable AND only holds temporary effects? _ NOT ME! _ A lifestyle change should be enjoyable. It’s your new way of life, and you certainly don’t want to be miserable craving things here and there then feeling guilty when you have them. _ So what are some aspects of a lifestyle change that are different than DIETTING? _ You often times have to give something up on a diet. That’s not the case in a lifestyle. Instead of restricting yourself, you moderate yourself. You still have that piece of cake, just in moderation. You can still eat that 2 piece fried chicken with the fries, just not every single day. You get to where you want to be and incorporate cheat meals. _ If you always restrict yourself, you will feel miserable and have an unhealthy relationship with food. That’s not what we want. I love food! Food is my friend! Your lifestyle doesn’t have to be restricting unless you want it to be, like if you were cutting for instance. _ There are many benefits to learning to eat healthier daily over doing a strict diet for a few days. My great grandmother and her family fled here illegally on a boat from Italy with her family.     Laser tattoo removal at @laseraway swipe left to see results so far. _ I do have a big regret though ... I really regret not getting this done sooner. My roses are actually red now and I’m so happy. I had heard about laser tattoo removal for a while but I stayed away because so many people talked about how painful it is.     🏖 Anyone workout at the beach? The sand and the heat add to the workout. Changing your environment helps with burn out. If you have access to a beach/park switch up 1 workout a week there. _ 🎯Try changing things up design yourself a 30 min beach workout. These are normally done in the morning with a HIIT style workout in mind. Stay hydrated and try to partner up. _ 🎯These videos go through non-weighted workout ideas. But sandbags, leg weights, and bands are all good ideas to use. You can easily design yourself 6 workouts then do 4 rounds with 25-30 reps as an idea. _ 🎯Stay active and keep your heart rate up. Not all workouts have to be done at the gym. You just need to be motivated to move! _ Results are 80% nutrition and 20% exercise so make sure your meal plan is on point.     Where is your dream spot? I’m back in Kauai Hawaii ❤️ I’m so grateful that I have the freedom to visit so often. At least till I’m able to move back 😉 _ I think every situation in our lives leads us to where we should be. Sometimes when we’re going through the storm we don’t see the light at the end. If you hang on and move with faith all the beautiful things you deserve will come to you. _ I remember very clearly times of darkness in my life. I was able to get out of that with faith. I know when people say it we get confused like what does that mean. It means stop questioning everything, your not in control, believe that your going to be okay. Let go of the anger and ask yourself what’s God trying to teach me in this situation. Take the lesson and move forward. Live a positive life and know everything you put out you’ll get back.     🤦🏽‍♀️Do you ever feel overwhelmed and you need to stop and recharge! _ 🗣How to Know When You Need to Recharge Sometimes we can push our bodies to their limit. Not just working out, but with the day to day activities we engage in. We become so busy that sleep is far and few in between. Our minds are always going a mile a minute with the next thing we need to get done, what we still need to accomplish. The work is never done. 🎯How do you know it’s time to recharge? First, you’re exhausted all the time. We aren’t talking just your regular tired feeling because you didn’t get much sleep. We are talking sluggish, mind fuzzy, barely able to focus exhausted. This is a sure sign that your body is running on fumes and needs a rest! Another sign is that you’re easily irritated. Now sometimes, we have bad days. I’m not talking about just a bad day where every little thing is getting under your skin. I’m talking about when you notice for a long period of time you are constantly irritated by things that would normally not bother you. And, there’s nothing that can really change your mood. Again, this is something that could mean you need a break. You’ve taken on a lot, you have a lot going on, it’s time to take a step back momentarily to regroup. Just going through the motions. When there is no drive for your activities, you aren’t focused or motivated about anything, and you are just doing what you know you need to do.     🙈Having a Better Attitude Toward Fitness _ When you think of when it comes to working out, do you see it as a punishment, a short term goal, or are you excited. As you all have probably heard me say a thousand times, it starts in your mind. Your perception of being getting healthy will determine your outcome as well as consistency. _ Your attitude has to be right. So what’s your attitude? Your attitude is your way of thinking or feeling about something, which is reflected in your personal lifestyle. Basically, the way you think or feel about something or someone is going to determine how you treat it, or them. _ Most people have a love/hate attitude towards fitness, there for they treat it with love and hate. This used to be me. I loved the benefits fitness had on my body, but I hated cardio, eating healthy, and getting up to workout when I didn’t feel like it. Some of you may be something like me. So the cycle was as follows: Go hard in the gym for a month, maybe longer. Eat super healthy (restricting myself from the things I love because it’s been drilled into me that they are bad for you.) Then, falling off the wagon. Having life happen and then before I know it I’m looking at my friends like “Gym who?” So how can you change your attitude? _ 💚Find your motivation: I have a whole post dedicated to this because it is so imperative. If you don’t know why you are doing what you are doing, you will always look at it from a negative standpoint. _ 💚Determine why you may have a negative outlook: If you have a bad attitude towards fitness now, find out why that is. Are you insecure about being in a gym? Do you despise running? What’s the reason your attitude is negative. _ 💚Look for different perspectives: Once you determine why you have a negative perspective, find ways to look at fitness from a different perspective. Can you look at the “cheat” meals as “treat” meals for doing a good job instead of as something you will have to work extra hard to recover from? _ 🗣Changing your attitude towards fitness can go a long way in your success. Give me a 👍🏽 in the comments 👇🏽 _ 🎯Video 1 - Quick but effective workout with little to no weight 🌟 Lunges with a twist for core, abs, burpees which I'm horrible with lol and lunges with overhead weight . 4 exercises time yourself doing 30 minutes high intensity no breaks. _ 🎯 Video 2 - Try these burners at the gym the first is an advanced abdominal workout combining arms and core. The second is a walking lunge with squats combined both 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 _ 🎯 Video 3 -Killed lower body yesterday and used these 2 exercises as finishers. Weighted cable kickbacks hold and squeeze at the top. The second was lunges with a pop in the front the resistance band helps a lot place it over the shoulder and under your toe. Again use these as finishers do high reps of 20 and 3 sets. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 _ 🎯(not playing sorry 😪) Video 4- I'm sure everyone has seen this machine at the gym but do you realize you can work your whole body on here. Legs, arms, back, abs and shoulders! If your gym is ever too packed park yourself at this machine grab the cable accessories and start getting creative. I started with biceps moved to rear delts, back then finished with abs. 4 rounds go for 15 reps abs do 50 reps and repeat with no breaks. _ 🎯Video 5- Full body today! Check out that upper body pump lol those battle ropes are no joke!     🗣Dealing With Negativity, how do you deal with it? _ Be Prepared: Some of the worst days for me are the ones that catch me off guard. Have you ever had a day like that? When you wake up feeling good, having high expectations for the day, then it seems like you are the only one in the world who woke up on the right side of the bed. Every person you encounter in every direction seems to be a Negative Nancy. A Negative Ned. _ These are the times you need to be prepared for. You have to make up in your mind early that no matter what, you are going to find the positive in whatever you are doing or coming up against. Preparing yourself by making this decision can make it much easier to ignore everybody else’s negativity _ React Positively: This is easier said than done. Nothing is harder to me than trying to be the bigger person when someone is clearly in the wrong and a complete and utter horrible person in that moment. Do the kind thing anyway. At the end of the day, you want to rub off on them instead of the other way around. (And even if you don’t it tends to irritate people so much more than when you respond negatively, which makes me laugh. _ Remove Yourself from the Environment: When possible, simply remove yourself from the situation. You don’t HAVE to sit there in a negative environment and slowly feel all your positivity drain from your body. You can chose not to have that conversation right now. Make a choice to put yourself in the most ideal environment in the moment to keep your composure and sanity. _ Ignore It: This last one is another one that is easier said than done. Depending on where you negativity comes from, simply ignore it. It would take more energy from you to respond or react than it would to move on without even acknowledging it.     💪🏽Tips To Motivate Yourself to Work Out You watch fitness videos all the time! In your head, you are ready to get to work. You even sit down and type out a workout plan. Then the day comes. The hour comes. When you have to get off your couch, out of your bed, change those comfy pajamas, and head to the gym. _ It’s at this moment that for most of us, we start to get tired, drowsy, and even sleepy. Then we convince ourselves that our body would betray us if we were to hit that gym right now. We will convince ourselves that our body needs to rest but we will get back in the gym the next day. So how do you keep yourself motivated to get up and get your workout on? _ 🎯Keep Your Goals in Mind: I’ve said it time and time again, mindset is everything. When you are fully aware of your goals and have a deep desire to see them brought to completion, you are more likely to stick to whatever you chose to do. _ 🎯Schedule Rest Days: Like “treat” days, rest days may be something that some of you look forward to. If you are struggling to get to the gym 7 days a week, know that your body needs rest. Schedule a day or two where you aren’t training, at least not hard. _ 🎯Change Up Your Routine: Working out can get real boring, real fast if you are doing the same things over and over and over again. Switch up your training routine. Try out some new exercises. _ 🎯Work Out With A Friend: I am personally someone who prefers to work out alone, however there are some people who enjoy working out when they have a partner or are in a group setting. Try to work out with a friend, or check out some different group classes that you may be able to attend. _ There are plenty of ways to motivate yourself to get going, you just have to create the right mindset and stick to it. Your mind is a powerful tool. It’s easier to get to the gym when you are home. You have a routine, and the gym or working out is a part of that routine. Once you get in the habit of a routine, you’re less likely to break it. _ 🏋🏻‍♂️ Traveling breaks the routine! _ No matter how often you travel, traveling disrupts your normally scheduled eating times, and your regularly attended workout sessions. If you are just traveling for vacation or a family emergency once a year or so, you may be ok. But if you are an avid traveler, you may need some tips to keep fit on the go. _ 🎯Create a Traveling Fitness Plan: If you travel often, make a normal routine for your traveling schedule. Find hotels that have access to free gyms. Develop a workout plan, or get a home workout video that you can do in your hotel room. Find a hotel that has an easily accessible path for a run. You want to modify what you normally do in the gym to fit a time and space restrained area. _ 🎯Pre Pack Healthy Snacks: You know us fitness freaks are always hungry! Traveling cannot only take a toll on your pocketbook, but also on your eating habits. You don’t want to binge the entire time you are traveling, so having a few protein bars, pieces of fruit, or another one of your favorite on the go health snacks can help. Along with this would be to choose healthier options from the menu. _ Traveling can be fun and exciting, but as we all know, we may come back home sluggish.     👋🏽Any busy moms out there trying to get fit? Give me a ❤️ in the comments please! _ It’s already February 2019. Your New Year’s Resolution was the same as it has always been: this year, I will be healthier, get in shape, get serious about losing weight. Yet somehow, it’s February and nothing has been accomplished. _ If this isn’t your story, I applaud you. But for most of us, this is how it goes every year. But starting today, that doesn’t have to be the case! _ I know, I know. You have a million things on your plate. The kids have so many things to do. How will you ever have the time to go to a gym long enough to work out? If you are a busy mom, like most of us are, I have a few tips and tricks to help you get focused and motivated. Summer is almost upon us already, and it’s not too late for you to get that hot mom bod ready for a bikini! (Or, maybe at least some shorts if bikinis aren’t your thing.) _ Prepare your mind: Fitness and Healthy lifestyles all start in your mind. So right now, you have to set your mind on what your goals are. Get ready and focused. Decide in your mind first that you are going to do whatever you can to reach those goals! Once you conquer the doubt and dismay in your mind, you have already won the battle. _ Find 20-30 minutes in your day, and start there: This lifestyle requires some sacrifice, but I’m not asking you to find a whole chunk of your day to get in the gym and train like a body builder. Just find 20-30 minutes. No matter where that thirty minutes is, decide that you are going to work out. _ Be Patient: You set your mind on your goals. That’s great. You’ve found the time and started working out. Even better! Now, stick to it. Don’t be like the old me, giving up after a month because nothing was happening. It can take time to reach your body goals. Keep pushing. _ Don’t Give Up: Most importantly, DON’T GIVE UP! So you missed your workout today, just get back to it tomorrow, or whatever day you can. So you ate a slice of pizza (or 12), don’t say you have to wait until the next Monday to start again. Just get back on track at the next meal or the next workout. _ 👉🏽Need help try my program!     Home workouts for all my stay at home parents 🏡 _ 🔥 Video 1 - #homeworkout today using my @xbarfitness for kickbacks on the carpet 👏🏼 followed by abs, lunges with a shoulder press, abs again and finished with bicep curls to a row. 30 reps for 4 rounds non stop. _ 🔥 Video 2 -Sunday evening workout with Giovanni while dinner cooks. Squats and abs little G weighs about 16 pounds now so lifting him with squats is a lot lol _ 🔥 Video 3 - #homeworkout today using my @flyupfitness sliders on the carpet 👏🏼 full body circuit 30 reps for 4 rounds non stop. _ 🔥 Video 4 - I was able to get a quick 30 minute workout in today while watching TV and playing with Giovanni. It's hard with this #injury but I'm not going to let it stop me. Focusing on mostly abs lately and and glute movements I can do without putting pressure on my leg. _ 🔥Video 5 - Do you have any advice for moms and dads who can't get to the gym.     💔 Break-up? Rejection? Anyone been through that recently? Drop a 👍🏽 in the comments _ I was talking to a friend about this guy I with. We were together for 6 years at the end I found out he was cheating. He put the whole thing on me somehow it was my fault he cheated but I still left. _ That whole experience really messed with me for a while. I felt like there was something wrong with me. I felt like I wasn’t good enough and I compared myself to this girl, like what does she have that I don’t. It was crazy the emotional damage that was done to my confidence. _ When we get rejected in any way we always feel like “what’s wrong with me or I’m not good enough” after years I found closure in the fact that it wasn’t me it was him. He was weak and didn’t have the skills to communicate an issue out of fear. _ I had a real conversation with him and asked him why he said “after years I just wanted to see if I could still get a girl”. My face literally dropped because there it was it was him. It wasn’t me, there was nothing wrong with me. _ Don’t take rejection and internalize it you’ll kill yourself doing that fam. More times than not that rejection comes from their fear. You my love are amazing, your deserving, and your special. I believe when God removes people from our lives it’s to make room for better. _ Thankful that relationship ended lol because it really did make room for so many more blessings. At the time it happened I cried for weeks. I wish I could have seen the future. Change your perception in life, believe in your greatness and know there is someone special out there for you.     What would you like to improve when it comes to health and fitness? _ A lot of people think of fitness and only think of weight loss. This is my friend @ii_julie_ii She is a wife and mom of 2. She followed me on Instagram and one day hit me up about my fitness program. _ Once she joined I found out the biggest thing Julie wanted to change was her level of energy. She had 2 kids and she always felt tired after work. To the point she couldn’t play with her kids not because she didn’t want to she simply did not have the energy. We set her up on a program for busy moms and set some goals. She’s now lost over 50 pounds and her kids are trying to keep up with mommy. Her family hikes together on the weekends and her kids are so happy. _ As Julie was losing weight, family and co-workers started to notice and they asked her what was she doing.     Does anyone deal with work harassment? How do you deal with it mentally and ethically? _ Although I’m an #entrepreneur I still deal with this constantly. You wouldn’t believe the stuff I deal with. What bothers me most is not understanding how people think and operate or their reasoning, when they do these things. _ Many of you know I work in real estate, just this morning a broker sent me very inappropriate images via DM because he was feeling ignored. I just thought wow I really have to deal with this as a woman in this business. _ Even within Herbalife I deal with harassment more times it’s from other female distributors. If someone posts me and states how much they appreciate my posts..there are women that make nasty comments, right under it. I’ve literally heard them making nasty comments at local events. They message my business partners, clients and other distributors. It’s crazy that lengths that people will go to so they can bring someone down.. _ I find a lot of harassment happen when your successful. When I had a smaller Instagram around 200k followers I didn’t deal with it so much. When I lived in Hawaii away from everything and out of the spotlight no one cared. It’s really sad but I believe maybe God is teaching you to be tougher. _ I’m not gonna lie it’s gotten to points like this morning where I’ve thought about quitting but I remember God has a plan for me. I have to keep my head up and trust him to fight the battles that weren’t meant for me. Nothing good comes easy. If your going through something similar please don’t give up. It will get better you are not other people’s opinions of you and you are not your mistakes! I have a gypsy soul and I have a hard time committing with roots. When the subject of buying comes up I’ve always said “I have bad credit” not really knowing the kind of loans are out there. _ A few years ago I sat down with a lender to see if the theory of “bad credit” was real.     👋🏽What’s everyone doing today? Happy to be back in LA!! _ I was looking back on some old photos when I was a kid. I felt like man I’m grateful to be here today. There were quite a few times in life, I contemplated if it was worth staying around. A few times I followed through and I attempted to take my life. God said nope I have better plans for you. _ I thought about all the things I’ve done since then. My beautiful children I’ve had and how much life has given me. The power to reinvent myself over and over again. Changing my perception of the world and myself 🌎 letting go of the past. Forgiving myself, those around me and choosing to be happy. _ I’ve traveled so much because I made the decision to do it. Ive seen so much beauty in the world. I’ve met angels 👼🏼 who elevated my life. Friends that I now call family. People have said to me “because of you I didn’t give up” which is the ultimate compliment. I never thought I would have the power to help others. _ You can’t see the future and how amazing it is when your in your darkest moments. NEVER give up because your life can change in a second. Things will get better if you make the decision to change things. It starts from within though. _ If I look back at my broken self I would say “you have a purpose, you have the power to change someone’s life for the better. God has a plan for you! Look for the signs and walk with him” _ No matter where your at go outside and see how beautiful it is. Let all the negative feelings go and say today I’m going to change. Take it slow, start working on you. Start healing from the things that hurt you. Forgive the ones who left you and let you down.
