Arrived in Thailand 🇹🇭 to this bliss. As we get ready to complete #PenguinBloom (final chapter!) I get to sneak in a little of this. Can’t remember feeling so relaxed... I love my job and feel very grateful 🍀 @the_barai😍

My heart breaks to hear the very sad news about @therealpeterlindbergh He was able to access great expression and spirit from everyone he photographed. People always looked at their absolute best and most natural self. Never about perfection more about tapping into the soul of his subject. He made me forget I was in front of a camera. So many great things to remember about him. His laugh was infectious, his love of art... (Sharing 2 of my fave pics here) I’m going to miss him. #rip 💔

I feel so incredibly lucky that not only do I love my job but I also get to share these experiences with lots of brilliant and inspiring people. I cannot explain how truly special it has been to be on set sharing blood, sweat, tears and bust-your-guts/ wet your pants laughter with them. Laugh, cry, cry, laugh, everyday... lucky me. Here I sit upon the very same rock I sat on, circa ‘86, where I had my first speaking role in the movie #ForLoveAlone. My character was “Leo’s Girlfriend” my line was “Hello...” and maybe “Goodbye...” Today, a *few* years later, I’m filming #PenguinBloom, where I play @samjbloom (who’s story is both powerful and heartening.) I’m grateful for this rock. Marking the meaning and time of this long winding road... Now I have a few more lines on the page—and yes on my face too—but I’m just as appreciative as that girl sitting there all those years ago. Thanks to all the incredible people who’ve been with me along the way. I’ve loved every bit of it. I couldn’t have done it without you. Some of those wonderful people were even on set today. Matriarch of the family, strong as an ox, champion rower, lived through the war (a nurse!), goat whisperer, no nonsense, work, work, worker... “get off ya dinger!” Queen of leftovers- on toast, saves everything... money, socks, undies, plastic bags and margarine tubs even with holes in them!! Ran a household and a farm. Loves her food and her tipple but not too much. Tells it like it is...No complaints... just gets it done!! And always with her lippy 💄on. As Harriet Wilson in #LUCE she masterfully weaves intelligence, power and responsibility into a highly nuanced and complex voice. #blewthedoorsoff 🙌💥🙏

Gretchen was the first, she was the pioneer and that took unimaginable courage. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She stood up to the most powerful man in her industry—worked in a toxic, misogynistic environment for so many years where everyone just had to play ball or they were pushed out.
