I WRITE THIS POST KNOWING... there are women who struggle to feel beautiful while pregnant. We hear about this “glow” and don’t feel it. We see other women who breeze through pregnancy and wonder how its “so easy” for them. I’m sure NO woman really “breezes” through pregnancy, though there is a wide spectrum of how we’re all affected. There’s shame and guilt put on pregnant women for what we eat, how much we exercise (or don't), what we wear... The web is full of “scary stories!” 😖 You could get that disease from eating this... Don't wear this fabric or you’ll have this go wrong.. Don't drink this drink or this complication will happen.. Maybe hating our bodies is the natural response to all the scrutiny and worry we place upon ourselves due to the stuff we see. Maybe it's not the actual stage of being pregnant we might dislike, but the sudden notion we’re subject to all this new judgment. Now, when I see a pregnant woman, I compliment her outfit, her smile and/or her accomplishments!! 🥳😊 I hope that this post brings some camaraderie, encouragement and community. It’s okay to struggle even in the joy of something so miraculous and beautiful because if you plan to be a mom or already are.. 🤰🏼we’ve been there or soon will. Currently pregnant, what I want more than anything is to feel like myself and if that means get out my two piece bikini 👙 and rock it on my baby-moon then so be it because why now that I’m pregnant should I have to wear something that make me feel less like myself, more frumpy and unconfident!! I just want to feel like myself in this time of rapid change. THATS IMPORTANT TO ME!!!! - QUESTION: 👇🏼 Is pregnancy a time when you feel beautiful? ♥️ if you think baby pigs are cute! Details on my Bahama trip because I’m getting a ton of DMS about it... We stayed at the @grandisleresort in Exuma. We took a boat to another island near to go to Chat & Chill to feed and hangout with the wild stingrays and have lunch on the beach.. it was incredible. The next day we took a private boat tour with @Exumawatersports to see a bunch of different islands including.. iguana island, goat island, @theswimmingpigs and so much more! Shoutout to my friend @justinlightbourn for showing us around. If you’re going there definitely hit him up! He knows all the good spots! Then fried lobster tail at Santana’s is a must 😋 and Tropic of Cancer beach is gorgeous! HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO THE BAHAMAS?! and if so... What did you do!? If not, would you put it on your bucket list of locations to visit..? ✈️✨🌎

Here’s a few healthy ideas using any type of toast you prefer: - DON’T BE GREEDY - TAG A FRIEND & SHARE THIS! - 1. Almond butter, fruit & granola. (About 280 calories) 2. Turkey bacon, eggs & fat free cheese. (About 205 calories) 3. Pizza sauce, mozzarella & pepperoni. (About 195 calories) 4. Lite cream cheese, salmon & onions. (About 200 calories) 5. Peanut butter, banana & cinnamon. (About 209 calories) 6. Avocado, sundries tomatoes & feta. (About 205 calories) 7. Hummus, red bell pepper & basil. (About 211 calories) 8. A little body update: I’ve gained 20lbs so far. Before I was pregnant I was about 128lbs and now I’m at 148lbs! My thighs are starting to rub together and this belly is growing almost 1/2inch a week now. I feel her moving all day long (especially when I eat) and it’s getting really hard to sleep throughout the night. Almost impossible actually 😣 I think that might be just preparing me for some sleepless nights with her. We’ve got about 3 months to go! 1st and beginning of the 2nd trimester for me was a “breeze” compared to the stories Ive heard but WOW 😯 it’s now starting to get a bit more challenging. - Can I ask you ladies a QUESTION... how many of you ACTUALLY like/liked being pregnant in all stages!? - I think because this being my first.. 👶🏼 the “uncertainties” of pregnancy has gotten to me a little bit. “Is she doing ok in there.” - “When will I be able to train fully again and feel comfortable.” - “How will the third trimester be.” - “What is birth going to feel like and what will it be like after.” - YEP! Its been a mentally, physically 💪🏼 and emotionally challenging time in my life and I’m sure all women (especially with their first) can relate. I’m overwhelmed with excited but also feeling a bit anxious. ✨ #thoughts

Even though I am so grateful and feel incredibly blessed.. I’ve been so overwhelmed lately... 😩 - The last few months have been extremely magical finding out we are pregnant and going through all these incredible changes but as you know change can be challenging. - Between juggling being pregnant, finding new energy and accepting all the changes that have came along with it, also juggling multiple businesses, getting a house and moving to Texas, finding a new OGYN, preparing for a new born baby.. I could keep going but I think you get the point. Sometimes I wonder how I’m going to succeed at doing everything when she’s born.. “am I cut out for this!?” 😓 We can be our own worst enemies sometimes.... - I make to-do lists every week that help me prioritize my tasks but at times I feel like I can go, go, go all day and still feel like I have so much farther to go. Like did I even put a dent in my list!? Sometimes I feel like all I do, just isn’t enough  Ohhh, the pressure we put on ourselves. 😵😵The pressure to do more … be more … get more done. Ughh, the pressure. - I must remember that I need to cut myself some slack sometimes. Know when the pressures I’m under are helping me and when they’re hurting me. When pressure is destructive, it’s time to find ways to release it and the unhealthy stress that accompanies it. I need to remember that I can set high goals for my life without piling on more and more stress. Reaching for peace and calmness in my life is going to be far more rewarding than living under constant pressure.  Plus it’ll feel so much better! - Shoutout to anyone else feeling like this right now! 🙏🏼You’re not alone! Helpful things that help me get through it: Treat yourself with kindness and stop being so harsh on yourself. Don’t focus on all the things you haven’t done, instead praise your accomplishments and reward your achievements. Be grateful for what you have and build yourself up instead of putting yourself down. NO, 🙅🏼‍♀️ supplements are not “necessary.” Muscle can still be built with a balanced protein rich diet along with tailored workouts but the pace of the muscle might be slower but it’s still possible. - So.. HOW MUCH protein do you really need daily? 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ My best recommendation is to find out your weight in kilos and times that by 2! If you weigh 130lbs (you’d weigh about 58kg X 2 = consume at least 116g of protein daily) - Now remember... I said supplements supplement the diet... It may be tough to reach 116g of protein a day and this is where the benefits of protein shakes come in. I do about 1-2 shakes a day because they make for a great post workout protein, they’re a delicious on-the-go snack and they make it easy to hit my macros! A lot of you have been asking what foods I’ve been eating during my pregnancy... honestly there are more foods I don’t 🙅🏼‍♀️ want to eat vs do... Including mostly all fish which is mind blowing to me because before my pregnancy I was pescatarian for almost 3 years 😳 (meaning plant based and ate fish only for protein source) NOW, I’ve been consuming 1-2 plant based protein shakes a day to help with my daily protein intake.     I WRITE THIS POST KNOWING... there are women who struggle to feel beautiful while pregnant. We hear about this “glow” and don’t feel it. We see other women who breeze through pregnancy and wonder how its “so easy” for them. I’m sure NO woman really “breezes” through pregnancy, though there is a wide spectrum of how we’re all affected. There’s shame and guilt put on pregnant women for what we eat, how much we exercise (or don't), what we wear... The web is full of “scary stories!” 😖 You could get that disease from eating this... Don't wear this fabric or you’ll have this go wrong.. Don't drink this drink or this complication will happen.. Maybe hating our bodies is the natural response to all the scrutiny and worry we place upon ourselves due to the stuff we see. Maybe it's not the actual stage of being pregnant we might dislike, but the sudden notion we’re subject to all this new judgment. Now, when I see a pregnant woman, I compliment her outfit, her smile and/or her accomplishments!! 🥳😊 I hope that this post brings some camaraderie, encouragement and community. It’s okay to struggle even in the joy of something so miraculous and beautiful because if you plan to be a mom or already are.. 🤰🏼we’ve been there or soon will. Currently pregnant, what I want more than anything is to feel like myself and if that means get out my two piece bikini 👙 and rock it on my baby-moon then so be it because why now that I’m pregnant should I have to wear something that make me feel less like myself, more frumpy and unconfident!!     ♥️ if you think baby pigs are cute! Details on my Bahama trip because I’m getting a ton of DMS about it... We stayed at the @grandisleresort in Exuma. We took a boat to another island near to go to Chat & Chill to feed and hangout with the wild stingrays and have lunch on the beach.. it was incredible. The next day we took a private boat tour with @Exumawatersports to see a bunch of different islands including.. iguana island, goat island, @theswimmingpigs and so much more! Shoutout to my friend @justinlightbourn for showing us around. If you’re going there definitely hit him up! He knows all the good spots! Then fried lobster tail at Santana’s is a must 😋 and Tropic of Cancer beach is gorgeous! HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO THE BAHAMAS?! and if so... What did you do!?     A little body update: I’ve gained 20lbs so far. Before I was pregnant I was about 128lbs and now I’m at 148lbs! My thighs are starting to rub together and this belly is growing almost 1/2inch a week now. I feel her moving all day long (especially when I eat) and it’s getting really hard to sleep throughout the night. Almost impossible actually 😣 I think that might be just preparing me for some sleepless nights with her. We’ve got about 3 months to go! 1st and beginning of the 2nd trimester for me was a “breeze” compared to the stories Ive heard but WOW 😯 it’s now starting to get a bit more challenging. - Can I ask you ladies a QUESTION... how many of you ACTUALLY like/liked being pregnant in all stages!? - I think because this being my first.. 👶🏼 the “uncertainties” of pregnancy has gotten to me a little bit. “Is she doing ok in there.” - “When will I be able to train fully again and feel comfortable.” - “How will the third trimester be.” - “What is birth going to feel like and what will it be like after.” - YEP! Its been a mentally, physically 💪🏼 and emotionally challenging time in my life and I’m sure all women (especially with their first) can relate.     Even though I am so grateful and feel incredibly blessed.. I’ve been so overwhelmed lately... 😩 - The last few months have been extremely magical finding out we are pregnant and going through all these incredible changes but as you know change can be challenging. - Between juggling being pregnant, finding new energy and accepting all the changes that have came along with it, also juggling multiple businesses, getting a house and moving to Texas, finding a new OGYN, preparing for a new born baby.. I could keep going but I think you get the point. Sometimes I wonder how I’m going to succeed at doing everything when she’s born.. “am I cut out for this!?” 😓 We can be our own worst enemies sometimes.... - I make to-do lists every week that help me prioritize my tasks but at times I feel like I can go, go, go all day and still feel like I have so much farther to go. Like did I even put a dent in my list!? Sometimes I feel like all I do, just isn’t enough  Ohhh, the pressure we put on ourselves. 😵😵The pressure to do more … be more … get more done. Ughh, the pressure. - I must remember that I need to cut myself some slack sometimes. Know when the pressures I’m under are helping me and when they’re hurting me. When pressure is destructive, it’s time to find ways to release it and the unhealthy stress that accompanies it. I need to remember that I can set high goals for my life without piling on more and more stress. Reaching for peace and calmness in my life is going to be far more rewarding than living under constant pressure.  Plus it’ll feel so much better! - Shoutout to anyone else feeling like this right now! 🙏🏼You’re not alone! Helpful things that help me get through it: Treat yourself with kindness and stop being so harsh on yourself.     First off, lemme start out by saying... Supplements are called supplements because they supplement the diet. NO, 🙅🏼‍♀️ supplements are not “necessary.” Muscle can still be built with a balanced protein rich diet along with tailored workouts but the pace of the muscle might be slower but it’s still possible. - So.. HOW MUCH protein do you really need daily? 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ My best recommendation is to find out your weight in kilos and times that by 2! If you weigh 130lbs (you’d weigh about 58kg X 2 = consume at least 116g of protein daily) - Now remember... I said supplements supplement the diet... It may be tough to reach 116g of protein a day and this is where the benefits of protein shakes come in. I do about 1-2 shakes a day because they make for a great post workout protein, they’re a delicious on-the-go snack and they make it easy to hit my macros! These easy recipes are complete meals and are layered with everything you could want for a healthy meal: vegetables, whole grains or a starch, and a tasty portion of protein to name a few things.... Theres so much variety here and possiblities are endless. This method also makes for an easy and delicious meal prep idea!! Pair it with your favorite sauce like a low sodium soy sauce or dressing and you literally have the PERFECT meal. So next time... make your meal or dinner a dinner in a bowl! - Here is a dinner bowl recipe full of flavor, SUPER EASY to make and highly recommended from meee tooo youuu!! INGREDIENTS: * 1½ pounds shrimp * 1 cup bulgur * ½ teaspoon salt * 2 cups boiling water * 2½ tablespoons olive oil * 2 tablespoons lemon juice * 1 cup fresh basil leaves * ¼ teaspoon black pepper * 2 cups grape tomatoes, halved * 3 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted * 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese - WHAT TO DO: * Thaw shrimp, if was frozen. In a large bowl combine bulgur and ¼ teaspoon of the salt; add boiling water. Let stand, covered, 15 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and devein shrimp, leave tails intact if desired. Rinse shrimp; pat dry. In a small bowl whisk together 2 tablespoons of the oil and the lemon juice; stir into bulgur. Stir in half of the basil. In a 12-inch skillet heat remaining ½ tablespoon of oil over medium-high. Add shrimp; sprinkle with pepper and salt. Cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Divide bulgur among individual bowls.     A lot of you have been asking what foods I’ve been eating during my pregnancy... honestly there are more foods I don’t 🙅🏼‍♀️ want to eat vs do... Including mostly all fish which is mind blowing to me because before my pregnancy I was pescatarian for almost 3 years 😳 (meaning plant based and ate fish only for protein source) NOW, I’ve been consuming 1-2 plant based protein shakes a day to help with my daily protein intake. Smoothies have been my go to also while I’ve been preggo when I am craving something sweet. WHO ELSE IS PREGNANT?🤰✨ OR HAS BEEN PREGNANT!? - What funky things have gone on with your diet during your pregnancy?! 🤔
