Something that I’ve been practicing for a while now that has really helped me stay in a place of love and expansion is monitoring my thoughts and asking myself if what comes up is ego/fear-driven or higher-self/love-driven. . Part of our human experience is having moments where we may have a visceral reaction, attitude or thought that is beneath our level of awareness, that may be driven by a projection of our own fears and insecurities, social constructions that we’ve accepted as true, or lack of compassion and judgment. But in our path towards spiritual enlightenment, we must recognize them and re-align with our true self. Our higher self. . . The more we stay on top of it, the quicker the re-directing of our energy will be. Little by little we will have less low vibrational thoughts, attitudes and actions. . . Of course, monitoring every single thought might seem challenging, almost impossible. So I suggest to start with asking yourself how you FEEL and why. Our emotions are like a compass. Never ignore or suppress negative feelings, instead, find the source of the feelings that are coming up, identify it, understand it, and move on to a higher thought.
