#throwback Sunshine (film 1999) The film follows three generations of a Jewish family during the changes in the Austro-Hungarian Empire from the beginning of the 20th century to the period after the Second World War. The central protagonist of all three generations is represented by Ralph Fiennes to highlight the bond between father, son and nephew.

#FBF Schindler's List - Schindler's list (Schindler's List) is a 1993 film directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes and dedicated to the theme of the Holocaust. Inspired by the novel Schindler's list by Thomas Keneally and based on the true story of Oskar Schindler, the film allowed Spielberg to reach the final consecration among the great directors, receiving as many as 12 Oscar nominations and winning 7 statuettes, including those for best film and best director. It is unanimously considered one of the best films in the history of cinema. Salient feature of the film is that it was shot entirely in black and white, except for four scenes: the first is the opening scene, in which two candles are extinguished, as well as, symbolically, the flame of two other candles regains color towards the end of the story. The second and third scene in black and white, where a child with a coat appears, only the latter colored red, first during the mopping up of the ghetto, then during the exhumation of the victims. Finally, the final sequence of the film is entirely in color, when, today, the stones are respectfully placed on the grave of the real Oskar Schindler at the cemetery in Jerusalem. In 1998 the American Film Institute added him to ninth place in the ranking of the best hundred US films of all time, [1] while ten years later, in the updated list, he climbed to eighth place. [2] In 2004 this film was chosen by the Library of Congress of the United States to be preserved in the National Film Registry. [3] Following the enormous interest aroused, Spielberg used part of the proceeds to create the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, a non-profit organization for the audio-video collection of the testimonies of about fifty-two thousand survivors. Some of these interviews appear in the extra contents of the Schindler's List DVD.

It is based on Georgiana, biography of Georgiana Spencer, Duchess of Devonshire, written by Amanda Foreman. The film was released in British theaters on September 5, 2008, in the Italian ones on December 24th. The film was nominated for the 2009 Oscars for the best costumes and the best scenography, winning the prize for the first category.
