FITNESS GOALS:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my opinion, consistency is the biggest factor in achieving any goal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the start of your fitness journey, you might need to use more effort to get into the rhythm of your new routine, but it won’t take long for that to turn into a habit & something you automatically do.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I workout 6ish times a week (some weeks less some weeks more) but I maintain consistent week after week, year after year, and that’s what gives me results. So rather than trying to get a “quick fix” find workout that you enjoy, start small and stay consistent...that what will give you lasting results!!

Seriously loving all your comments and feedback on my Swim Squad Programs 🏊🏽‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I loved getting my creativity on and learning how to use InDesign, then creating the programs and swim tips for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I think people get really intimidated by the pool and feel as though they don’t really know what to do or they don’t want to feel uncomfortable & out of place so they avoid it... but swimming is a PHENOMENAL way to: 1. Increase your fitness levels 2. Build lean muscle 3. Help anxiety (because you really have to focus & control your breathing) 4. Aid recovery from all your impact training in a gym etc 5. COMFORT ZONES: There’s no better time to start that goal, dream, new workout program, new course, new career than NOW. So often we put off on taking that next step forward because we’re afraid of all the “what if’s” ... but here’s the thing, if you don’t step outside your comfort zone then you will never find out. If we waited till we new all the answers and have full control of the situation before starting anything new, then we would never really grow. Courage isn’t about having no fear, courage is knowing there is fear around every corner, but still taking that step forward anyway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I personally feel courage, and stepping outside your comfort zone is just like any other muscle. Once you have done it a few times you get stronger and stronger. So instead of diving in the deep end 🏊🏽‍♀️ with a huge change (see what I did there) start first with something small. That way if it doesn’t really work out as you planned you can pretty easily rebuild back + you will have gained a tremendous amount of new insights to better prepare you for next time. Completely honoured and truly grateful to be inducted into the International Swimming Hall Of Fame. I’m still trying to process the magnitude of it all and have really enjoyed spending these few months reflecting on my journey and career as an athlete. Every night before the Beijing Olympics as I was lying in bed I would visualise myself at the games, standing behind the blocks, hearing the crowd screaming, imagining how I would be feeling, seeing the tv camera come past me as the announcer would say “swimming in lane 5, the world record holder in this event, representing Australia ... Stephanie Rice!!!!” Then I would see myself in the pool, swimming my perfect race, feeling strong and being in control of my mind and body. I never visualised the end of the race ... just the process ... but deep down I always knew that if I could execute my perfect race plan, it would give me every chance of winning. So standing here 10 and a bit years later (making this the perfect #10yearchallenge) with tears in my eyes, tears of pride and joy, tears of relief, because I did it!!!! To say that I am a Triple Olympic Gold Medalist, 5 x world record holder, medal of the Order of Australia recipient and now be in the Hall of Fame ... it’s mind-blowing and honestly it all still doesn’t feel real ... and I don’t know if it ever will. But what I do know for sure is that whilst I was the one behind the blocks, there was a very tight-knit team of people behind the scenes that did everything in their power to help me achieve my dream ... and for that I am completely grateful. My incredible coach Bohly, my ever-supporting family, my team-mates, my physios, my trainers, my doctors, my wonderful sponsors, my agents & advisors, my school, the entire swimming community, my fans and supporters cheering from the stands and tv screens and my always understand friends. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much ... I wouldn’t be where I am today without you, so thank you for everything that you have done for me and for always believing in my potential. So wish I was at @f1 sitting in the grandstand, getting rained on, getting amongst the atmosphere, watching my favourite sporting event of the year. I love @f1 and especially love the @ausgp - these videos were from 2014. Growing up as a kid, our family was never into football, union, soccer or any of the ‘typical’ sports what most families support ... we were an @f1 family. We watched every race, I knew all the drivers & teams (and still do) I got so into all the technical aspects of the sport and loved watching each race unfold. So needless to say when I met @aussiegrit for the first time, I definitely had a fan girl moment ... this was after my 3 Golds at Olympics too 😂 It’s such a thrill to see @danielricciardo killing it and I can’t wait to cheer him on today ... from my TV.

Before and after my workouts I always do a 3-5min stretch. Before working-out: 🤸🏽‍♂️ To get the blood pumping, loosen my body from sleeping and activate my muscles so that I’m firing the right ones during a workout ... which helps prevent injuries After working-out: 🧘🏽‍♀️ To slow my heart-rate and my mind before getting into the day. I’ve actually noticed a HUGE difference since doing this consistently, because my mind generally goes at 100miles/hour, which can easily tip me over towards feeling overwhelmed & anxious. So after my HIIT style workouts where I’m creating so much heat and fire in my body, it’s important for me to just take 3-5mins to allow my breath to centre and calm my mind before racing into the day This is just another one of the many tools I use to ensure my mind 🧠 is serving me in the best way possible

READ THROUGH: Today was lovely!! Mum, @courtyhickey and I caught up with my school principle, Mrs Hauff for lunch. Some of you might already know, but in Grade 9, I switched schools because my previous school didn’t offer me a scholarship as they didn’t believe in my ability to take my swimming to an elite level and all the fees for swimming, competitions away and school were adding up...so we needed to find a solution. In the first interview with @clayfield.college, Mrs Hauff asked me what my goal was and I confidently said “to win an Olympic Gold Medal” ... I was 13. She calmly replied, with complete faith, “well let’s help you get there.” (My mum on the other hand was totally shocked as she had no idea that I had set that standard for myself) Ever since that first interview, the school supported me in every way possible, like allowing me to only do 3 subjects in grade 11&12 so I had more time for gym, physio and recovery or letting me arriving late as training would sometimes run overtime. Pretty sure I also fell asleep every 1st period from being constantly exhausted, but we all made it work. I put in 100% effort to my studies, had tutors and did whatever it took to succeed in both swimming and school. 1st year out of school, as a 17yr old, I made my first big team, the @commgamesaus and was able to win 2 gold medals. 2 years later, I achieved my dream goal of making an @olympics team. Mrs Hauff was one of the first people to message my mum after winning my first gold medal in Beijing saying “I knew she would win”. We are still in touch all the time because, I know, without her support, it would have been incredibly hard for me to achieve the results I did in swimming. I’ve always known my life path would be different to the “norm” and I love doing things a bit differently..so I am forever grateful that the school saw that gift in me, believed in my ability to make my goals a reality, and supported me in anyway possible to get there ... even though it went against tradition.

Getting There 🤸🏽‍♂️ still need to work on my core stability and control but really enjoying adding some handstands into my workout routine. Awesome for toning and strengthening the shoulders, especially because I actually have weaker shoulders and upper back muscles, hence the 3 surgeries...so I’m always looking to improve.

It was an honour to go back and speak to the 2019 delegates at the Australia India Youth Dialogue (AIYD) last week in Melbourne. I was a part of the delegation in 2017 and loved being able to learn more about the synergy between our 2 countries and how we can continue to improve our cross-border relationships thought business, education, health etc. Speaking to the group last week was so impactful to me because it really highlighted how far I’ve come since 2017 and how real my dreams are becoming. India is a country I have always felt a spiritual pull towards, so I know I have great work to do there... it’s just incredibly that now, after 3 years, it’s all becoming real. So thank you for having me and allowing me to share my journey with you all. I truly hope you all took something of value from it 💫

Just whip’d up this super fast, healthy, vegan lunch (yes I know it’s 3:30pm) using @vegiedelights NEW Mexican Chilli vegan stir-thru sauces and holy yum it’s good 🌱 I was so excited to try it out to give you guys my recommendation and it’s absolutely a winner and one to pop on the shopping list for your next trip to Woolies. I’m such an advocate of having easy to prepare, fast meals like this in your fridge for days like today when I don’t have a lot of time and I’m S.T.A.R.V.I.N.G!     FITNESS GOALS:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my opinion, consistency is the biggest factor in achieving any goal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the start of your fitness journey, you might need to use more effort to get into the rhythm of your new routine, but it won’t take long for that to turn into a habit & something you automatically do.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I workout 6ish times a week (some weeks less some weeks more) but I maintain consistent week after week, year after year, and that’s what gives me results. So rather than trying to get a “quick fix” find workout that you enjoy, start small and stay consistent...that what will give you lasting results!!

Increase your fitness levels 2. Build lean muscle 3. Help anxiety (because you really have to focus & control your breathing) 4. Aid recovery from all your impact training in a gym etc 5.     COMFORT ZONES: There’s no better time to start that goal, dream, new workout program, new course, new career than NOW. So often we put off on taking that next step forward because we’re afraid of all the “what if’s” ... but here’s the thing, if you don’t step outside your comfort zone then you will never find out. If we waited till we new all the answers and have full control of the situation before starting anything new, then we would never really grow. Courage isn’t about having no fear, courage is knowing there is fear around every corner, but still taking that step forward anyway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I personally feel courage, and stepping outside your comfort zone is just like any other muscle. Once you have done it a few times you get stronger and stronger. So instead of diving in the deep end 🏊🏽‍♀️ with a huge change (see what I did there) start first with something small. That way if it doesn’t really work out as you planned you can pretty easily rebuild back + you will have gained a tremendous amount of new insights to better prepare you for next time.     Completely honoured and truly grateful to be inducted into the International Swimming Hall Of Fame. I’m still trying to process the magnitude of it all and have really enjoyed spending these few months reflecting on my journey and career as an athlete. Every night before the Beijing Olympics as I was lying in bed I would visualise myself at the games, standing behind the blocks, hearing the crowd screaming, imagining how I would be feeling, seeing the tv camera come past me as the announcer would say “swimming in lane 5, the world record holder in this event, representing Australia ... Stephanie Rice!!!!” Then I would see myself in the pool, swimming my perfect race, feeling strong and being in control of my mind and body. I never visualised the end of the race ... just the process ... but deep down I always knew that if I could execute my perfect race plan, it would give me every chance of winning. So standing here 10 and a bit years later (making this the perfect #10yearchallenge) with tears in my eyes, tears of pride and joy, tears of relief, because I did it!!!! To say that I am a Triple Olympic Gold Medalist, 5 x world record holder, medal of the Order of Australia recipient and now be in the Hall of Fame ... it’s mind-blowing and honestly it all still doesn’t feel real ... and I don’t know if it ever will. But what I do know for sure is that whilst I was the one behind the blocks, there was a very tight-knit team of people behind the scenes that did everything in their power to help me achieve my dream ... and for that I am completely grateful. My incredible coach Bohly, my ever-supporting family, my team-mates, my physios, my trainers, my doctors, my wonderful sponsors, my agents & advisors, my school, the entire swimming community, my fans and supporters cheering from the stands and tv screens and my always understand friends. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much ... I wouldn’t be where I am today without you, so thank you for everything that you have done for me and for always believing in my potential.     So wish I was at @f1 sitting in the grandstand, getting rained on, getting amongst the atmosphere, watching my favourite sporting event of the year. I love @f1 and especially love the @ausgp - these videos were from 2014. Growing up as a kid, our family was never into football, union, soccer or any of the ‘typical’ sports what most families support ... we were an @f1 family. We watched every race, I knew all the drivers & teams (and still do) I got so into all the technical aspects of the sport and loved watching each race unfold. So needless to say when I met @aussiegrit for the first time, I definitely had a fan girl moment ... this was after my 3 Golds at Olympics too 😂 It’s such a thrill to see @danielricciardo killing it and I can’t wait to cheer him on today ... from my TV.

    Before and after my workouts I always do a 3-5min stretch. Before working-out: 🤸🏽‍♂️ To get the blood pumping, loosen my body from sleeping and activate my muscles so that I’m firing the right ones during a workout ... which helps prevent injuries After working-out: 🧘🏽‍♀️ To slow my heart-rate and my mind before getting into the day. I’ve actually noticed a HUGE difference since doing this consistently, because my mind generally goes at 100miles/hour, which can easily tip me over towards feeling overwhelmed & anxious. So after my HIIT style workouts where I’m creating so much heat and fire in my body, it’s important for me to just take 3-5mins to allow my breath to centre and calm my mind before racing into the day This is just another one of the many tools I use to ensure my mind 🧠 is serving me in the best way possible

    READ THROUGH: Today was lovely!! Mum, @courtyhickey and I caught up with my school principle, Mrs Hauff for lunch. Some of you might already know, but in Grade 9, I switched schools because my previous school didn’t offer me a scholarship as they didn’t believe in my ability to take my swimming to an elite level and all the fees for swimming, competitions away and school were adding up...so we needed to find a solution. In the first interview with @clayfield.college, Mrs Hauff asked me what my goal was and I confidently said “to win an Olympic Gold Medal” ... I was 13. She calmly replied, with complete faith, “well let’s help you get there.” (My mum on the other hand was totally shocked as she had no idea that I had set that standard for myself) Ever since that first interview, the school supported me in every way possible, like allowing me to only do 3 subjects in grade 11&12 so I had more time for gym, physio and recovery or letting me arriving late as training would sometimes run overtime. Pretty sure I also fell asleep every 1st period from being constantly exhausted, but we all made it work. I put in 100% effort to my studies, had tutors and did whatever it took to succeed in both swimming and school. 1st year out of school, as a 17yr old, I made my first big team, the @commgamesaus and was able to win 2 gold medals. 2 years later, I achieved my dream goal of making an @olympics team. Mrs Hauff was one of the first people to message my mum after winning my first gold medal in Beijing saying “I knew she would win”. We are still in touch all the time because, I know, without her support, it would have been incredibly hard for me to achieve the results I did in swimming. I’ve always known my life path would be different to the “norm” and I love doing things a bit differently..so I am forever grateful that the school saw that gift in me, believed in my ability to make my goals a reality, and supported me in anyway possible to get there ... even though it went against tradition.

    It was an honour to go back and speak to the 2019 delegates at the Australia India Youth Dialogue (AIYD) last week in Melbourne. I was a part of the delegation in 2017 and loved being able to learn more about the synergy between our 2 countries and how we can continue to improve our cross-border relationships thought business, education, health etc. Speaking to the group last week was so impactful to me because it really highlighted how far I’ve come since 2017 and how real my dreams are becoming. India is a country I have always felt a spiritual pull towards, so I know I have great work to do there... it’s just incredibly that now, after 3 years, it’s all becoming real. So thank you for having me and allowing me to share my journey with you all. I truly hope you all took something of value from it 💫
